Sorry for being a lil late. I got my hair done last night so I didn't have time. Enjoy! 💕 (Also the end is a little graphic so beware.)

~A Terrible Nightmare~

A sudden light made us all separate, shielding our eyes. "What the... why are you guys screaming?" I looked up from my shaking hands and sighed in relief. It was just David's dad, illuminated by the light of a flashlight.

"Dad! You scared us!" David grabbed onto Felix who was keeling over, face white, his hand pressed into his chest.

"I'm sorry, I wanted to see if you three were alright." He glanced over at David's smoking PC and moved to kneel beside it, "David, why did you think finding something in the dirt and putting it in your PC was a good idea?"

"Sorry dad." David muttered, embarrassed.

"We told him not to." Felix and I muttered then laughed at ourselves. He was looking better now, color returning to his cheeks with a smile.

"Well, I'll try to find some free time to fix your computer." David's dad stood up from the ground shining the flashlight back on us. "Now you guys need to go to sleep, it's late."

"I'm heading home." I grabbed my phone, it'd been blowing up for the past ten minutes.

"Me too. I'll walk you." Felix ran a hand through his hair, shooting me a lopsided grin.

After saying our goodbyes to David and his family, Felix and I pulled on our shoes. Luckily, the storm had calmed down and was now just a light drizzle.

"So..." Felix trailed off. I smiled, shoving my hands into David's hoodie pockets.

"So what?"

"I don't know what to talk about." We stopped once we reached the end of David's driveway, looking towards my house then back towards the path to his. "I'll walk you home first."

"What a gentleman." I teased, looping my arm through his.

"Of course," Felix spoke in a fake British accent. "Anything for someone as elegant as you." I giggled and squeezed him back.

"Seriously though, how are you? I feel like we haven't had a real conversation in forever." I dropped my arm and grabbed his hand. Felix intertwined our fingers letting our hands swing inbetween us as we walked. Intimate in a weird way. It was something we always did, something probably past the point of friendship, but we'd been doing it for so long it felt natural.

"I don't know. I'm fine, I guess." He looked down at the ground.

"Fine?" I replied sarcastically, nudging his shoulder. "You can always talk to me, you know? David's not the only person you have. We've been friends for... how long now?"

"8 years." Felix replied immediately.

"You counting the seconds, too?" I laughed

He rolled his eyes. "I know I can talk to you. I'm fine. Really."

"Alright." I sighed dramatically, letting go of Felix's warm hand. We'd reached my front door. We fell silent for a moment, the drizzle of the rain on the concrete the only sound. I threw my arms around Felix's shoulders and he hugged me back just as hard.

"I love you." I mumbled into his jacket. We'd been friends for most of our life yet it was still embarrassing to say aloud, let alone look him in the eyes and say it. Pathetic. Surprisingly, Felix pulled me tighter against him.

"I love you too." I savored the way those words made my stomach flutter.

"Okay, okay!" I giggled pulling him off of me. "You better get home before your dad gets mad." He nodded, stepping down my porch steps. I leaned against the railing, watching him go. Once he was at the end of my driveway, I cupped my hands over my mouth. "Stay safe!"

He turned back giving me a quick wave. I sighed blissfully, watching him go. For real this time, he disappeared down the dark road and silently, I hoped he'd make it home safe too. I turned back at the sound of the front door opening behind me.

"(Y/N)? What are you doing standing out here?" My dad raised an eyebrow.

"Sorry," I shivered and looked down at myself. I was still wearing David's sweatshirt, duh.

"What?" My dad ushered me inside, closing the door behind us.

"I left my shirt and sweatshirt at David's" My dad nodded and rubbed my shoulder.

"Just ask him to bring them to school tomorrow. It's bedtime for you." I gave my dad a quick hug and dashed up the stairwell shouting a returning 'good night'.

I shut the door to my room behind me and stripped off my damp clothes getting into something more comfy. After going through my nightly routine I turned off my light and threw myself into bed, absolutely exhausted.

With the last ounce of energy I could muster, I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to David.

(Y/N): I left my clothes at ur house can u bring them to school tmrw?

I tossed my phone onto my night table, instantly pushing the text out of my mind. I couldn't believe David acknowledged what they said on Cuarta Dimension.

The reporter had only been to Lalin once and claimed it was cursed, but all of us have lived in Lalin our whole life and have never heard anything about curses.

I curled up into a ball, hugging my knees against my chest. Thinking about all of this was making me question whether something really was going on in Lalin.

That night, I had a terrible nightmare. I was in the same woods the girl had been murdered in, this time it was me and Felix. He held my hand guiding me deeper into the trees.

"Felix? Where the hell are we going." I giggled stupidly.

"Picnic." His bright smile warmed my heart, filling me with a false sense of safety. He stopped me in a clearing and turned around abruptly. I bumped into his chest. "(Y/N)" He gulped not making eye contact with me.

I flicked his nose. "What?" He met my eyes, expression unreadable. I smiled sheepishly, expectant. Slowly, he leaned down warm lips pressing insistent against mine. I was surprised, but pulled him closer. His lips sending pleasant tingles down my spine.

Everything was so right, but so wrong at the same time. My best friends lips did not belong on mine. A low guttural growl from the woods made me pull away.

"What was that?" I took shallow gasps of air, attempting to catch my breath.

"It's probably nothing." Felix pulled me closer again, wanting to go back to where we left off.

"No," I pushed him away gently. "I definitely heard something." I turned around squinting, hoping I would find something in the bushes.

"(Y/N)!" I turned around as a figure shot by me. It jumped at Felix with that same low hum. All I could do was cover my mouth and watch my best friend be ripped apart limb by limb. Pathetic. Pathetic.

"(Y/N)..." Felix sputtered out, blood spilling from his lips. He pointed towards the woods, his pupils dulling. "Run."
