Loki Escapes

Elena's POV

I come out of the bathroom feeling clean. I got bored of study and had shower. Before changing into some of Aunt Nat's spare training clothes. Glad we're a similar size, only she's slightly taller. Suddenly a black cat with stunning green eyes jumps on her bed. "Why hello kitty, I didn't know Aunt Nat had a cat" I say as I pat it. He purrs rubbing his head against my hand.

I sit down and he jumps onto my shoulders nuzzling me affectionately. "You're friendly" I say smiling. "No collar, strange" I muse. I lay down and he curls up beside me purring. "You know I've always liked cats, but my adopted mum is allergic to them" I state as I pat him fondly. "Maybe I can convince Aunt Nat to let me pet sit you" I tell him.

Suddenly an explosion rocks the ship and I pull the cat close protecting it. "What the hell was that?!" I exclaim getting up holding him close. "We have to find Aunt Nat" I state and leave the room carrying the cat. SHIELD agents are running everywhere as alarms are sounded. The cat jumps out of my arms and runs off. "Kitty!" I shout running after it.

I freeze when I hear a roar and me being me. I head for it and find Aunt Nat. "What's going on?" I ask her confused.

"It's the Hulk, run" she tells me.

"But I need to find your cat" I tell her.

"What cat?" she asks me confused. Suddenly the Hulk appears. "Never mind, just head for the control room. I'll distract him" she tells me. She pushes me into the shadows and takes off running. The Hulk followers her.

I contemplate what to do. I know she said to head for the control room. But I couldn't leave a defenseless cat out there alone. So I go search for him and find myself in an empty quiet corridor. "Kitty, here Kitty!" I call. I hear a meow and head for it. "Kitty!" I shout.

I'm lead to Loki's cell room and spot the cat. "There you are" I say smiling.

"Princess Elena, behind you!" Thor shouts and I realize his in the cell and not Loki. I turn and Loki grabs me.

"There's my queen" he says smirking. "You did well" he says to the cat and waves his hand making it disappear.

"He wasn't real" I say.

"No he wasn't, but I can get you an even bigger cat" Loki tells me. "But first my dear, sleep" he says and kisses my forehead. I black out.

Third Persons POV

Loki places the sleeping Elena down. "What did you do to the Princess, Loki?" Thor demands.

"Merely making her take a nap" Loki says simply. "Then once I deal with you, no one can stop us from ruling Midgard. She'll be a stunning queen" he says smirking. "But first, the humans think us immortal. Should we test that?" he asks Thor as he heads for the control panel.

Suddenly, the solider guarding the door falls down like a tree. Agent Coulson stands there, holding phase 2 prototype weapon. Pointing it at what he thinks is the real Loki. Not know he'd cloned himself and the real one is behind him. "Move away, please" Phil tells the clone and it backs away from the console. "You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you wanna find out?" he asks.

Suddenly he is impaled from behind by the real Loki. He gasps falling to the ground. "No!" Thor shouts. Loki sends Agent Coulson against the wall. Agent Coulson slumps down, breathing fast.

Loki makes his way back to the control panel. He gives his brother one last look. Thor looks at him, hopeful. Loki opens the hatch below Thor's cell. Thor still hopes he won't do it.

But Loki hits the button and drops Thor out of the ship. Loki shows no remorse as he goes to pick up Elena and leave when Phil speaks. "You're gonna lose and she'll never side with you" he says weakly.

"Am I?" Loki asks him as he looks at Phil.

"It's in your nature" Phil states.

"Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky. I have the Goddess of Jotunheim as my future queen. Where is my disadvantage?" Loki asks him.

"You lack conviction and don't have her loyalty" Phil answers.

"I don't think I..." Loki starts to say. Agent Coulson shoots Loki with his phase 2 weapon prototype, causing Loki to be blown through the wall behind him. Away from Elena, who wakes up. She shakes her head and notices Phil.

"Phil!" she shouts and rushes over. Placing her hands over the wound to try stop the bleeding.

"So that's what it does" Phil mutters.

"What what does? Who did this to you?" Elena demands.

"Loki, but he's gone now" Phil tells her.

"Hang on, help will come" she tells him as his breathing becomes shallower. Nick Fury appears and he rushes over to us.

"Sorry, boss. They got rabbited" Phil says weakly.

"Save your strength" Elena tells him.

"Just stay awake, eyes on me" Fury tells him. "I need a medical team in the detention room state" he says on the radio.

"No, I'm clocked out here" Phil tells them.

"No" Elena says as she starts to cry.

"Not an option" Fury tells Phil.

"It's okay, boss. This was never going to work... if they didn't have something... to..." Phil looks away. And sighs his last breath as the medical team arrives. I cry harder covering my mouth to stop the sobs.

"Elena, they have Barton in the medical room" Fury tells me. "Go with the Paramedic, he needs you as you need him" he orders. I nod my head and follow the paramedic to the medical room.
