Chapter Twenty: Werewolf Hunters

"You're shit at this game, (Y/n)," Gaz said, spamming the buttons on the controller with ease, her character easily beating the character (Y/n) chose to play as. "Shut up, I've never played this game and you didn't give me time to learn any of the controls." (Y/n) snapped back, trying to hit the correct buttons for a combo to win, but it ended with Gaz doing a combo and knocking (Y/n)'s character out. "Fuck." (Y/n) grumbled, leaning back and sinking into the couch, groaning annoyed. "This game is rigged and dumb." (Y/n) announced, Gaz rolled her squinted eyes. "You're just terrible at the game." the eighth grader said, starting up a new game.

"Whatever, where is Dib? I'm starting to think he ditched me." (Y/n) yawned and sat back up, it was almost midnight and Dib asked him to go werewolf hunting with the raven-haired teen, (Y/n) agreed since last time they hung out Dib disappeared and ended up at Zim's house. "Probably in the shower or something, or he did ditch you," Gaz suggested making (Y/n) scoff, (Y/n) sat back up, putting the controller on the coffee table. "shut up." was all (Y/n) grumbled, that didn't help his anxiety much since he did think there was a possibility. "Just wake me up when Dib's done and comes back down." (Y/n) said, sinking back into the couch, he heard Gaz say a plain "okay" before (Y/n) drifted off.

'wait...what?' (Y/n) could barely think as he looked around, his eyes felt heavy as he struggled to keep his eyes open. 'where...am I?' he was in a black void, he was cold, very cold. 'But I was just at Dib's house?...' (Y/n) thought, shivering a bit as he just floated there for a moment before glitch, there was a glitching effect happening everywhere around in the void, all the colours and static noises started to hurt his ears as he let out a cry, trying to cover his ears to block out the noise, but stopped when looking at his arms. his arms were glitching from their pale white skin to a (s/c) and then back. 'what? what the hell's happening-' he thought before a sharp pain went through him, (Y/n) gasped out in pain and clutched his chest, his cast was weirdly not on his arm but he couldn't focus on that, all he could feel was the boiling pain in his chest that felt like it was ripping his insides apart. (Y/n) let out a scream of pain, he felt like his body was being torn apart and stretched. "Please someone help me!" (Y/n) cried out in pain as he felt his body start to fall, the wind rushed past him as he fell into the glitching void.

"(Y/N)!" (Y/n) heard Dib say, (Y/n) panicking and sitting up sharply causing his head to collide with some else's head. "Ow!" both (Y/n) and Dib shouted out, (Y/n) holding his head in pain, looking down at the floor where Dib fell, he was clutching his head in pain. "Shit, sorry." (Y/n) apologized, Dib smiled a bit up at (Y/n). "No, it's alright, I deserved it, I woke you up," Dib said with a sheepish smile, (Y/n) smiled a bit back. "Alright, what time is it, are we gonna go paranormal hunting or whatever you wanted to do?" (Y/n) asked as Dib got up, (Y/n) stood up after him. "It's around two, so we got time until the sun rises to catch those werewolves!" Dib said with a smile, (Y/n) raised an eyebrow. "Werewolves?" He repeated and Dib nodded. "werewolves." "But, why those of all creatures? Are you hoping to get a werewolf boyfriend?" (Y/n) questioned making Dib laugh, turning his head away to hide a slight blush. "No way, I'd never date a paranormal creature, come on." Dib said, (Y/n) then noticed the large backpack on Dibs back. "How long do you plan for us to stay out there?" (Y/n) questioned, Dib looked back at (Y/n). "Till the sun rises, as I said, come on." Dib said and headed to the back door, (Y/n) watched before letting out a sigh, grabbing his coat off the side of the couch before trailing after Dib.

"I promise we'll be in the middle of the woods soon!" Dib said back to (Y/n), who looked miserable. "We've been walking forever! How are we not in the middle of the woods?!" (Y/n) shouted out in anger, Dib just rolled his eyes. "Well, you agreed to come along so you have to deal with it!" Dib said back, he was trying to set up a camera, and it wasn't helping that (Y/n) was complaining and distracting him. "I agreed because I thought this would be quick, we're walking around in the middle of the forest! WE COULD BE SHOT BY HUNTERS!" (Y/n) shouted out in anger and stomped his foot, shrieking out in disgust when his shoes collided with mud, the mud splashed everywhere, splashing up onto (Y/n)'s clothing and face. "AH! EW EW EW!" (Y/n) screeched out in disgust, Dib looked back at the teen and just rolled his eyes. "It's just mud, (Y/n)," Dib said, being ignored by the blonde as (Y/n) jumped around in disgust. "(Y/n)." ignored. "(Y/n)!" Ignored again. "(Y/n), for fucks sake." Dib said annoyed, putting down the camera and walked over to the teen, one of his hands grabbed (Y/n)'s shoulder while the other grabbed (Y/n)'s chin, forcing the teen to look up at him.
