Deidara grabs out the remaining of his explosive clay, squishing it in his hand to calm his anxiety. He steps out and onto the battlefield, watching as the controlled shinobi and kunoichi fight as pawns until they were put back to sleep.

He had told the group his plan and somehow hid the rest of the Akatsuki members because logic.

"Hey Obito-", the Uchiha glances over to Deidara, the blonde cringes at the look of his new white mask thing. He definitely preferred the orange lollipop mask over this bland off-brand bleach mask. "-What exactly is our objective?"

Notice how Deidara said 'our' instead of 'your'? Yeah, he's going along with Obito's plan so his own plan would follow.

"I've told you many times but I guess you can't bother to listen..", the raven lets out a sigh and Deidara took full offense to that comment. "You're my favourite though so I'll tell you one last time."

Deidara beams a smile, a loving smile.

"My main objective is to win this war and build a whole new world, a new reality where we can live together. A world where we can start fresh and put our past life behind.", Obito starts off, his eyes gaze into the sky and he seems to be quite lost in thought. "To do that, I will put everyone under some sort of spell. It's called the Infinite Tsukiyomi and everyone influenced by it will fall under a deep sleep."

His hand searches for Deidara's, holding it tightly. The blonde lets his hand relax and fit into Obito's, and he looks up to the raven.

"Let's be together, okay Deidara?"

The artist nods. "Okay, un."

They continue to hold hands, allowing the chaos to ensue as they watch shinobi, both alive and reincarnated, fight to their deaths.

"Hey, I think I saw someone around there, un.", Deidara points out, and somehow, Obito fucking falls for that because he trusts Deidara.

The blonde jumps onto the battlefield, because why not, and straight up blows up half of his comrades (the reanimated people) which causes this whole ass scene of smoke.

"I'm only here to help, un.", Deidara states and no one believes him so the shinobi start attacking him. The blonde dodges their attacks in an attempt to not hurt them. "I hate fighting and participating in this war as much as you do, un! Believe me, I only want to help."

Some guy with a mask holds out his arm, gesturing the other shinobi guys to stop. He steps towards Deidara, the blonde takes note of how he had the goddamn Sharingan.

"You're.. You're not an Uchiha, right?", he asks, backing away and the masked-guy shakes his head. "Wait.. You're the guy that Obito hates! Kakashi, wasn't it?"

"Hate? I wouldn't say hate, we just have more of a rivalry kind of relationship.", he clarifies. "Anyways, how do we know that you aren't actually working alongside with Obito? You could betray us anytime, after all, you're from the Akatsuki."

"The boys and I, erm, and Konan, are planning on taking Obito out ourselves, un.", Deidara explains. "We just need some more help with taking him out."

Kakashi looks to his comrades, some older guys look to him and nod. He nods before letting out a sigh. "Alright, we'll work with you."

Deidara feels relieved, he smiles. They were surprisingly easy to convince. "Thanks, un.", he mumbles. "So - uh - need any help with taking out those reanimated guys?"

"Yeah, sure."
