Our heroes are enroute to Lavender Town, Misty complaining about it being creepy. After a lot of training, an elderly man named Chouzu with a white shirt with a Butterfree silhouette on the back approaches the gang, telling them about the Butterfree's mating season, explaining that he'll care for the Butterfree's and their families until after a week, at a place called the Butterfree Sanctuary, which is when the eggs would've hatched and the hatchlings being able to take care of themselves, some people even leaving their Butterfree here forever so they can stay with their family.
Ash thinks it'll be great for his Butterfree, so he brings him out and they try to find a mate, luckily, Butterfree finds a female one that's pink and does his courtship dance, showing off his power and moves, even saving her from a rouge Fearow with Electroweb. The female was skeptical, but when Butterfree saved her, she was head over heels. The mating season begins.
After three days, Ash's Butterfree's eggs hatch, Ash and the gang stayed so it wouldn't be too lonely and in case someone tried to attack the Butterfree and their young. That was the right call.
Because Team Rocket tried to catch all of the Butterfree with a large butterfly net. A wild Mankey helped out with his fighting type moves, combined with Pikachu's Thunderbolt, Eevee's new move, Trump Card, and Ash's Butterfree's Bug Buzz, Sandslash helping get out the captured Butterfree, Metapod and Caterpie, them finally blasting off again.
After the rest of the week, Butterfree went back to Ash's team, saying he loved his family, but Ash and the team are apart of that family, his new family understood completely and Chou said if Butterfree wanted to visit, he was more than welcome. The Mankey also wanted to join Ash, but he wants to test Pikachu's strength, to which they agree.
They have a battle, Pikachu using Thunderbolt, but Mankey dodges and uses Karate Chop, but Pikachu blocks with Iron Tail, Ash throws the pokeball and successfully captures Mankey. He checks out the dex entry.
[Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokemon.An agile Pokémon that lives in trees. It angers easily and will not hesitate to attack anything. This Mankey is level 40 with the Ability Vital Spirit and knows the moves Karate Chop, Fury Swipes, Low Kick, Seismic Toss, Thrash, Outrage, Cross Chop, Close Combat, Assurance, Rock Tomb, Night Slash*Egg Move *, Focus Punch*Egg Move*, Revenge*Egg Move *, and Counter*Egg Move*]
Ash makes some rice balls for everyone. "Wow Ash, these are great!" Brock praised, Ash blushed modestly.
Ash's pokemon were eating contently, an injured Venonat approaches Ash's Butterfree, saying Team Rocket was back at the Butterfree Sanctuary and were acting more dangerous. They get back, Koffing poisoned everyone and Ash got Happiny to heal the poisoned pokemon while they handled Team Rocket. After Happiny helped the last poison victim, Team Rocket makes a grab for Happiny after it found an Oval Stone, suddenly, Happiny evolved into Chansey, Chansey fought back and Ash scans Chansey.
[Chansey, the Egg Pokemon and the evolved form of Happiny. A kindly Pokémon that lays highly nutritious eggs and shares them with injured Pokémon or people. This Chansey is level 44 and knows the moves Doubleslap, Copycat, Hyper Voice, Softboiled, Sing, Heal Pulse, Egg Bomb, Sweet Kiss,Headbutt, Helping Hand, Refresh, Dazzling Gleam, Psychic, Endure *Egg Move*, Aromatherapy*Egg Move*, Heal Bell*Egg Move*, Metronome *Egg Move* and Present*Egg Move*]
Chansey uses Egg Bomb on Team Rocket and Pikachu and Eevee finishes them off with Thunderbolt and Trump Card. Team Rocket then blasts off again.
Ash cares for Venonat's wounds and she joins the party. Ash checks Venonat's entry.
[Venonat, the Insect Pokemon. Its eyes also function as radar units. It catches and eats small bugs that hide in darkness. This Venonat is level 40 with the Ability Compound Eyes and knows the moves Supersonic, Psybeam, Poison Powder, Stun Spore, Sleep Powder, Leech Life, Psychic, Sludge Bomb, Signal Beam, Poison Fang, Zen Headbutt, Giga Drain*Egg Move*, and Bug Bite*Egg Move*]
He pets Venonat and they all head off to Lavender Town, Ash putting in sine ear plugs when Misty was complaining in fear about Venonat.
What will happen in Lavender Town?
Will Ash fulfill this favor for the father of the cold hearted Psychic gym leader? We'll find out soon enough.
