"You happy?" Zavon asked me as we strolled through the park after our little date night.
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know, I'm juss askin."
"Well, I am," I told him again.
"But if you were unhappy...you would tell me?"
"It's depends-"
"Depends on what?"
"...depends on what's making me unhappy," I shrugged and looked over at him.
"Nah, you needa tell me regardless."
"We'll see."
"Nah, Nah, Nah. Look me in my eyes and promise me that you finna tell me when you happy or when somethin's bothering you," he stopped walking, making me stop too.
I turned to face him. "Aight."
"No, say you promise."
I playfully rolled my eyes at him. "I promise."
He looked at me for a couple seconds longer. "Ok."
We started walking again.
It was a peaceful night. Wind was blowing at a nice pace, cooling us down. The street lights in the park was turned on so it wasn't as dark as it would've been.
"How many kids you want?" Zavon asked me after a couple minutes of pure silence between us.
"Why?" I looked at him.
"So I can get ready."
"Get ready for what?"
"Jae, just answer the question."
"Uh...I don't know. Maybe 2 or 3," I bit my thumb nail.
"WOW," I seen him blink.
"What?" I let out a little laugh.
"I thought you was finna say 1 but damn...3?"
"I said 2 or 3," I corrected him.
"Don't matter...ya still said it."
"How many kids do you want?" I asked him.
"Like...3."
"Oh, ok. Just as long as it ain't no drastic number like 5," I said.
"Yeah, I ain't aiming that h-" Zay cut himself off when we both heard some voices coming from the direction we was walking in.
"Yeah, it was like so fucking rad, dude."
"I agree. And his girlfriend had a fat arse too."
The voices we heard were loud. It looked like there was only two ov em. One was speaking normal English and another had a British accent.
