11:09 AM, Rooftop, Recess

John's POV

For the first time in what felt like forever... we both finally get the chance to hang out on the rooftop again

Now that I think about it, This is also the first time we hung out here since Sera knows about my powers. All the secrets I held tightly was finally let go and my chest felt as lightly as ever, knowing that I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not.

No... What am I saying?

 The cripple side of me was real... Both my personalities were real. It's just that the cripple side is no longer apart of me anymore

"Hah! See? You can't get high scores anymore since you can't use your ability to cheat!" I watched as Sera plays a game on her phone

"Alright... you got me okay?"

Suddenly someone else came to the rooftop... *creak*

"Hey I knew you guys would be here!"

It was Remi. She still had bandages glued to her forehead since their last encounter with Phoenia got Remi's head smashed to a wall

"Pinky? What the hell are you doing here?"

Sera's POV

John calls her 'Pinky'? Did they get close without me realizing or is that just John's way of mocking her? Or both?

"I didn't realize you two were close" I said

"Close? Hell no... We're far from close" Said John irritated " What are you doing here anyway?"

"Uhm... I'm just here to say thanks"

"Thanks for what?"

"For bringing me back safely to Wellston that night... I didn't have a chance against her"

"Well if you just had listened to me in the first place... None of this shit would've ever happened dummy!" Scolded John

I didn't think seeing John scold someone, especially Remi would be so funny. It's like I just met John for the first time again

I can see that John is starting to care for them... Well at least Remi for now anyway. I've never actually seen John actually talk to someone normally besides myself, and probably the Doc. So this is a refreshing sight

"Haha... I'm really sorry. But thanks again John" Said Remi with genuine smile

But John looked away from her, as if he's ashamed of something

"I don't need a thanks... Saving you after I've beaten you half-dead was the least I could do anyway"

"It's okay! I forgive you John..."

John was shocked to hear those words. He made the same face when I also forgave him for hiding his real self from me this whole time. But John didn't reply to her

"Anyway... that's all. See you two around!" Remi leaves the rooftop

"Sera... Any good news from the hospital?" Asked John

"Good news? Even bad news would be good at this point... Since they're not giving me any news at all"

"What do you mean by that?"

"I'm pretty sure that they are trying really hard to dodge my questions... And the more I call them, they get aggressive like they had enough of me or something"

"You don't think that they're hiding it, are you?"

That's possible, but if it's true... Then why? Why would a hospital ignore a patient? Don't they say that high-tiers are the most valuable that the authorities are trying so hard to protect?

But what if that was a lie?

Or maybe they only saw me or any other high-tiers only for their powers...Only to benefit them. Not the very human that's carrying it

And once I lost my ability, they don't see me nothing more than a nuisance

I need to start to question myself on what the world is that we're living on right now

Wait... why are they even protecting high-tiers? Does that mean they're not protecting low-tiers?

Now I understand the meaning behind 'Unordinary'...

It's there to make us question about the society that we live in, which is why the authorities are banning them

"I'm not sure... It's too much of an assumption for now..."
