The darkness surrounded you, creating a sense of serenity rather than discomfort, you were content in this silent space. A small beeping noise sounds next to you, growing louder the longer you ignored it. Your slumber now disturbed, you slam your hand down onto your alarm clock, finally silencing it. You let out a groan as you sit up in bed, pushing a few strands of (H/C) hair out of your face. You give your eyes a few moments to adjust to the sunlight entering your room through your thin curtains. In an instant, your mood brightens, its Friday.

You hop out of bed, a newfound smile adorning your face as you rush towards your closet, eager to get through class to finally reach the weekend. You stare into your closet for a moment attempting to find something to wear. Remembering that you'll have to dress up later, you decide to wear something more casual to school. You choose a pair of jeans and a simple sleeveless blouse. You quickly slip out of the over-sized t-shirt you used as a nightgown and get changed into what you consider a lazy outfit. Sitting at your vanity you apply a light layer of makeup, a natural-looking eye shadow and you follow it up with eyeliner and mascara.

You quickly head to the bathroom to brush your hair and teeth. When the soft smell of pancakes enters your nose and you follow the scent down the stairs and into the kitchen where your Mother stands over the stove. When she hears you approaching she turns towards you and smiles. "What time is the party tonight?" she asks, turning back around to flip the pancake on the griddle. Your stomach lets out a low growl and the two of you break out into laughter. When you've finally caught your breath you respond to her question "Owen is picking me up here at 7:30, I'm not sure what time I'll be home though". She serves a few pancakes onto a plate and sets it in front of you, passing you the syrup and butter as she does so. "That's alright," she chuckles "It just gives your dad and I some alone time." She begins to laugh harder as you let out an exaggerated gag. It doesn't take you long to finish your pancakes and the next thing you know you're giving your mom a hug and a kiss and hurrying out the door and into your car on your way to school.

Walking into the school you head over to the senior section of lockers and smile, seeing your boyfriend of two years, Owen, standing there waiting for you. You walk up to him and smile, as he leans down for a kiss. You chat for a while as his friends Brayden and Lucas come over to greet him, asking about tonight's upcoming party. You kiss Owen on the cheek as you say your goodbyes and head to class, hearing a wolf whistle from behind. You turn around and laugh as you see Lucas laughing and your boyfriend glaring at Brayden.

Classes were normal for a Friday, no one paid any attention and everyone slacked off, too excited for the huge party Ramona Kelly was throwing for the senior class. You tried your best to be an attentive student; however, you found it difficult not to jump into the widespread conversation that was going on.

You stand in front of your closet for the second time today trying to decide what you're going to wear to the party. Sorting through the abundance of clothes in your closet, you decided on a black, strappy dress that hugs your torso and flares out once it reaches the skirt. Deciding to match it with a simple pair of black heels and a silver locket that Owen gave you for your one year anniversary. You pause for a moment staring down at the locket remembering the adorable boy who gave it to you. His awkwardness around you never ceased regardless of how long you two were together.

It was a warm summer day and Owen had shown up at your house out of the blue with a bouquet of lilies. You had smiled and thanked him, however, he pulled you out of the door without answering your questions as to where you were going. You ended up at a pond somewhere near the outskirts of (Town) where a picnic blanket was laid out with a basket sitting in the middle of it. Owen walked to your side of the car, opening the door and holding his hand out to help you get out of the car. You enjoyed your lunch and laughs as you wiped peanut butter off of his face. All of a sudden he grabbed your hands and stared deep into your eyes. The next thing you knew he was holding an open jewelry box out to you and in it sat a silver locket. "Happy one year babe" he had finally managed to say as you broke out into a fit of laughter as he looked at you confused. You smiled at him and spoke through your laughter "Our anniversary is next week!" Needless to say, you never let him live it down.

You hear a knock on the door downstairs, snapping you out of your reminiscing. Checking yourself over in the mirror one last time you rush down the stairs and open the door to see Owen waiting for you. You smile and greet him, stepping outside to lock the door. You jiggle the handle to make sure it's locked when you feel a hot breath on your ear. "You look beautiful (Y/N)" he mumbles into your ear causing you to giggle. You grab his hand and walk him over to his car, but pause before getting in, "So do you~" You wink as a blush spreads out across his cheeks.
