"Good job Y/n, your getting really good with your magic," Ink complimented after my training session. "Thanks Ink, I guess being a hybrid wasn't as bad as I thought."
Yeah, being a hybrid is beginning to be amazing. Growing up, being a f/m (favorite monster) human hybrid, well I wasn't always liked. It's not that I looked different or anything, I had a human appearance.
Yet, I had magic that let me summon weapons and eyes that glowed when I got angry. And as soon as someone knew my dad was a monster they left.
That's why I'm glad I found the Star Sanses, not only did they accept me they also helped me learn how to use my magic. Beforehand, it acted up involuntarily, causing problems.
They allowed me to join their team and protect Aus against Error, Nightmare and his team. Mostly Error was our main issue. No matter how many times we fight him he keeps going, can't take a hint can he.
Though I can never forget the look on his face when he first saw me summon my weapon. His eyesockets went so wide, it was hilarious.
I mean who could blame him, seeing a girl you expect is human make a giant sword appear out of nowhere, kinda shocking not gonna lie.
"Y/n! We have a problem," Blue yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts. "Error again?," I asked. He nodded and motioned for me to follow him. I sighed and ran after him.
He opened a portal to Outertale, where Ink and Dream were already fighting Error. I ran over and started breaking the strings he was using to restrain innocent monsters.
Once they were safe I went over to help the guys and it looked like we were winning. Note, looked like.
While I was trying to get to them, along with the strings, Error began shooting bone attacks at me. I managed to dodge most of them but that last attack, I missed.
One bone hit my leg and another hit my chest, luckily not my heart or lungs. It hurt though, badly.
I tried to get up and continue fighting but I couldn't.Loss of blood was making me weak and I could hardly focus on anything. I put my hand over my wound on my chest, hoping to slow the blood a little.
I don't know if it worked or not, I don't even know who won the fight. I didn't get to see the end of it, I had blacked out.
When I woke up, I thought I was dead. I saw nothing but white nothingness. But the sharp pain I felt in my chest when I sat up proved I wasn't.
That left one last option. The anti-void. But that's impossible why would I be here, Ink wouldn't bring me here, Dream or Blue would take me to their Aus.
That left...no he wouldn't help me, he'd rather leave me to bleed out. But he's the only one who comes to the anti-void. Maybe I should find a way out and ask questions later.
I did my best to stand up but as soon as I was able to stand in fell back to my knees due to my leg injury.
"Great, I'm stuck here," I muttered to myself. "ThE AnTi-VoId IsN't ThAt BaD," a glitched voice said behind me.
I slightly screamed from both surprise and fear falling backwards, irritating my leg wound. "W-what do you want with me," I asked slightly shaking.
"WoUlD yOu RaThEr Me LeFt YoU tO bLeEd OuT," he asked kneeling down to my eye level. "I g-guess not but why help a-an enemy," I asked still scared.
"You wouldn't have helped Ink or Dream or-or Blue," I said starting to calm down, if he wanted to hurt me again he would have done so by now.
"YoU'rE a HuMaN, yOuR iNjUrIeS aRe MoRe DaNgErOuS," he said looking at my leg and the bandages around my chest.
"That doesn't answer my question, why help me," I asked again. "We ShOuLd GeT yOuR bAnDaGeS cHaNgEd," he said holding my arm to help me stand, I guess he was checking to see if I could actually put weight on my leg.
He was just going to keep ignoring my questions unless I went along with his antics. He teleported away momentarily and had clean bandages in his hand.
He sat me back down and this time allowed me to apply the bandages around my chest yet he still rewrapped my leg. "YoU sTiLl NeEd To ReSt, YoU lOsT a GoOd BiT oF bLoOd," he said taking off his jacket and folding it into a makeshift pillow.
"Error, thank you," I know he was the one who hurt me but at least he tried to fix his mistake. He gave a slight, barely noticeable smile and stood back up.
"I'lL bE bAcK lAtEr, YoU jUsT rEsT," he said teleporting away without another word.
Maybe he was better than we gave him credit for. Honestly I don't know how to feel. My enemy saved me, and is caring for me. I was supposed to hate him, but I don't think I can now.
I pushed the thoughts out of my head and laid down. I eventually drifted off to sleep. Even though I was lying on hard ground it was actually pretty comfortable.
Error did come back just like he said, bringing food and water, things to keep me alive, including a blanket. He said it would take about a week for my wounds to heal enough for me to leave.
And over that week, against my better judgement, I felt different about him. Like he wasn't the same guy I was battling the week before. It was like he was a stranger and I was meeting him all over again.
"Hey Error can I ask you something," I asked while I was sitting with him, watching him make puppets. "If it's about going home, you can leave if you want," he'd controlled his voice glitching to the point where it was alot easier to understand him.
He sounded almost sad when he said that. "No that's not it, sure I'd like the guys to know I'm ok but its something else," I explained. "They know your here, they let me care for you," he said still not looking at me.
"What were you gonna ask," he said giving me a side glance. "Well, you never answered my question, why did you help me," I asked a third and hopefully last time.
"I uh...I wanted to help you, ok that's it," he lied, I could tell. "Error don't lie to me, I thought you'd have some trust in me by now."
He sighed and looked up at me, "I saved you because, even though I know we're enemies, I couldn't bare the thought of you dying, not at my hands at that," he said with a yellowish tint on his face.
"I also hoped that if I helped you, then you'd be more comfortable around me, and maybe we didn't have to fight anymore."
"Error, all you had to do was say that when you brought me here, I would've heard you out. I may be half monster but I'm not heartless," he let out a slight laugh at my joke.
"But I'm glad you helped me, and kept me here. I liked getting to know you. There's alot we couldn't see in you," I liked the him I knew now, he was like a new person completely.
"I like the you I know now, I wish I'd had known alot longer," his yellow blush got a little brighter. "You don't have to leave you know, it's up to you, if you wanna leave I won't stop you," he offered to let me go, after everything how could I leave.
"I'll stay, I don't want you to be alone again," his smile got a lot wider at that. I know he doesn't like physical contact but I had to take the chance.
I leaned forwards and kissed him. He took a second to grasp the situation but kissed back eventually. My arms involuntarily hooked around his neck and his around my waist.
I pulled away, arms still around his neck. "I've wanted to do that since I first saw you," he said lovingly.
"I love you Error," I said hugging him, or really cuddling him I guess. He wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me to his chest.
"I love you too Y/n, thanks for giving me a chance."
