Jennie sigh for the nth time since Lisa left her side. She's still sitting on the same log chair for almost an hour already, trying to process all the things that Lisa told her. Honestly, she's waiting for the Thai woman to say that it's a prank followed by her loud laughter, but she seems really serious.
She was clutching her phone using her left hand tightly and still contemplating about calling her mother. Yes, the number of her Mom was saved on her phone, she didn't dared to delete it. At least she had her number, that's her reason.
She bite her lower lip and emailed her mother instead. She don't want to talk on the phone, she wanted it to be in person so that they can talk properly. She just simply wrote that she wanted to meet up with her once she get back to SoKor, and nothing else. She didn't include the reason why. After sending the message, she look up again and watch the Thai woman.
Lisa was taking some photos a few feet away from her spot, she looks carefree whenever she's being a shutterbug.
"God Lisa, I wanted to be mad but I couldn't. You really have a different effect on me." she said more to herself while staring at Lisa's back.
"Head over heels, aren't we?" a woman's voice said that causes Jennie to jolt in surprise.
"Oh, I didn't mean to startle you. My bad." the same girl earlier said with a gentle smile. Instead of being a bitch like she is, Jennie returned the smile and said that it was fine.
"You're together." the lady stated while looking at Lisa's back. "Am I right?" she added and turn to Jennie afterwards.
"Yes." Jennie said with a gentle smile. She was confused about their relationship a while ago but hearing Lisa said that she wanted to court her and that she even want to ask for her father's permission is enough for Jennie to tell the world that they are together.
"What's wrong?" the lady asked that made Jennie's eyebrows furrows.
What does she mean? She thought.
"What do you mean?" she blurted out her thoughts.
"Oh. I mean, something is bothering you. You might want to talk about it and let it out, but you can't talk about it to her..." the girl motioned Lisa's direction and continue. "Care to share? I'm a stranger." she shrug.
"Exactly, you're a total stranger. So, why do you think that I will tell you about it? And how did you know that something is bothering me?"
"I believe that it's a good idea to have a stranger who can listen to your problems, because they don't judge you. And about your second question, I just know." she shrug once again.
"That's a very absurd idea. No offense." she trailed off.
"Hmm? You think so?" the pretty girl smiled at her. She has a different kind of smile that causes Jennie to have goosebumps, but in a good way. "Allow me to ask a question." she said again.
Jennie can't say no so she nodded her head.
"Have you ever tried to spit out some of your problems to someone you're not close to? Not a total stranger, maybe some acquaintance of yours."
"I'm a very private person. So no, I haven't done that..." Jennie's voice slowed down as her gaze flickers towards Lisa, and memories of her in that club almost harassed by a drunkard man came back to her. That was the very night that she told Lisa about her mother.
"Hmm? Never?" the girl ask with an amused smile on her face.
Jennie sigh and pouted, that was just once tho. And Lisa is not a stranger to her now, but that was also before. She even think that it would be the last time seeing the Thai woman but obviously, she was wrong.
