Cecil tightened her hold on the lunchboxes, feeling annoyed.

"You AI500...again! You only tell me when the deed is done!"

[ This time, I warned you when the mission is issued~ ]

"A mission that is impossible for me to do! How do you want me to convince the protagonist and the heroine, as well as the academy to stay here? And also to solve the murder of the prince?!"

[ You are on your own.
Good luck, Cecil Lan :) ]

Cecil was so angry with the system, she couldn't maintain her indifferent facade anymore, her face becoming dark.

Seeing the raven-haired woman approach him with an angry look, Zasiok raised an eyebrow.

She's angry now? Did my mother really tell her to do such a thing?

Cecil paid no heed to the group of people standing outside the jail cell, approaching Zasiok who was sitting with one knee upright, leaning against the wall.

Two guards stood beside him, and with Cecil and Zasiok in the jail cell as well, it was rather cramped. The king clicked his tongue in annoyance, flipping his clothes.

"You, guards, stand outside the cell and watch the prisoner as he eats," the king commanded and the two guards instantly complied, moving out. "I will come back later to continue our conversation, Zasiok."

Cecil could see, within the dim light, Zasiok's gaze had turned a shade darker.

They left hastily, the king was clearly unhappy at the turn of events. Cecil didn't turn to look, instead she settled on the dirty, stone floor, taking out the pair of utensils that was provided by Zasiok's mother, picking the food and bringing it to Zasiok's lips.

She didn't mind how dirty the floor was, which was a contrast to her noble image.

He blinked, taken aback, "my mother really told you to feed me? By hand? Every single piece of food?"

Cecil shook her head, putting on her usual mien. "I lied, but you..." she glanced down, observing his injuries with disapproval, she even had to move her eyes away. "You are clearly not in a good state to move."

"Well..." he followed her eyes, sounding morose. "I've been through worse, even if you don't believe me."

"I believe you," Cecil answered immediately. "Unless you are telling me scars can be faked as well."

Zasiok let out a breathless chuckle.

"No, they are actual--"

She shoved the food in his mouth at the same time, and Zasiok almost choked.
