Part 25

A week later....

"Dude did you see what Spider-Man did on Friday! Holy shit! He was so cool"

"He totally saved that family"

"I wonder who he is?"

I was walking to chemistry with Ned and MJ, and everyone was talking about Spider-Man. He was everyone's favorite superhero, and there was not a day that goes by that I don't hear one of my classmates talk about it. It was really awkward.

"Peter? Did you hear what I said? Practice after school today. We have nationals in a couple months and we have to be ready" MJ explained to me, she was clearly annoyed with me

"I heard, and I will be there" I told her

Ned started talking about a new Star Wars movie that was rumored to be coming out. But I honestly didn't care much about seeing any new Star Wars movies, since they were not as good as the originals. But of course I was still going to watch it. We made it to class and we all took our seats.

Our teacher spent the class talking about something, but I wasn't really listening. I was looking out the window and watching the wind blow through the trees.

"Mr. Parker? Can you answer the question" Mr. Scott asked me

"Um...can you repeat the question?" I asked him ignoring the laughing coming from my classmates

"What is the most common isotope in hydrogen?" He asked me annoyingly

"Protium, but some deuterium and tritium occurs, too. Tritium is radioactive. Deuterium is not radioactive and is the form of hydrogen which is found in heavy water" I told him and he nodded

The question was simple enough, but maybe I should listen next time.

"Class I have an announcement. In a few days we are having a field trip. I will be passing out forms, so please bring them back as soon as you can"

Well the last field trip I went on went so well, if you count nearly dying at the hands of a radioactive spider. I wonder where we are going this time?

"Where are we going?" One of the students asked

"We have been invited to....Stark Industries" The teacher announced and I can see everyone look at me (Yes...I went there. Everyone loves a good field trip storyline)

I put my hand on my head and internally groaned. Did mom and dad plan this without telling me?

"Peter? I understand you work there, that is quite impressive. Maybe we will get to see some of your work" Mr. Scott said and started passing out the forms

"Maybe" I gritted my teeth and took the form and put it in my backpack

As I walked out of class, everyone started asking me questions.

"Are the avengers going to be there?"

"Do you actually work there?"

"Can we meet Tony Stark?"

"Penis probably has never seen an avenger in his lifetime. He is only Tony Stark's charity case!" Flash yelled
