Lina bounced on the balls of her feet in anticipation watching students returned from home, as each person that passed that Lina didn't know the more anxious she got, her bouncing got more erratic until finally, she saw Cedric, he was with Lucy and Danny and laughing at something one of them said.
Lina sprinted forward pushing people out the way until she got to Cedric and threw her arms around his neck, Cedric wrapped his own arms around her waist and lifted her off the ground slightly, when he put her down they let go of each other.
"Hello to you to" Cedric laughed.
"I have a lot to tell you," she said thinking about the picture hidden away and the Firebolt. Lina looked to Lucy and Danny "all of you" she grabbed Cedric's hand and dragged them barging into quite a few people on the way, to her dorm room.
"Eve, what's going on?" Cedric asked, once he Lucy and Danny were all settled in her room and Lina had locked the door.
"We've been back five minutes, what could have happened to you over Christmas?" Danny asked.
"My dad sent me a Christmas present" Lina simple said.
"Well fuck," Lucy said after five minutes of silence.
"What did he send you?" Cedric asked.
Lina turned and rummaged through her school trunk, hidden in between the pages of the burnt pages of her Arithmancy book was the picture, she got it out and handed it to Cedric, who passed it to Lucy and then Danny.
"That's not all."
"What else did he get you?" Danny asked,
"A Firebolt."
"A Firebolt!" Cedric cried, Lina giggled as his voice went several pitches higher than normal. "You're kidding right?"
"Nope."
"Well then where is it?" he said jumping up from Lina's bed.
"There's a slight problem there, Professor McGonagall has it she's having it stripped down and checked to make sure my dad hasn't jinxed it."
"Would he really do that?" Lucy asked.
Lina shrugged in reply "I don't know, I don't think so but then again I don't know my dad."
"When do you get it back?" Cedric asked.
"In a couple of weeks" Lina answered.
Cedric gripped her shoulders "the second you get that broom back you tell me, I want to be the first to know alright."
"Well who else am I going to tell"
"Hello," Lucy said waving her hand between her and Danny "us."
