CESAR AND MONSE (ON MY BLOCK TWO YEAR LATER)

CHAPTER TWO

MONSE POINT OF VIEW
How could this happen "What does it say?"McKenzie asks I could help, but start crying. She wraps her arms around me "Hey it going to be ok. You're so smart you will figure it out."She said. I cry for while then I whip the tires away "I need to call my dad, and tell him."I said, "I go so can talk."She said and gave me a small smile and left. I call my dad "Hey dad." I said, "Hey sweetie you ok?" He asks. I don't know what to say I tried holding the tires, but couldn't "Hey Monse whatever it is it going to be ok." He said "I'm sorry. I know you spent a lot of money getting me in this school, but  I mess up dad I'm pregnant. "I said he did say anything "it going to be ok, but I think you need to move back home. I will be there this weekend and pick you up." he said, "ok I will start packing."I said "I love you." he said, "I love you too dad."I said and hung up "What did he say?"McKenzie asks "he said I have to move back home."I said how did I let this happened.

THE WEEKEND
I got home it was nice to be home with everything going on. I go to my room and then my dad walk-in "so do you know what you're going to do with the baby?" he asks "I thought a lot about it, but I think I know what I'm going to do "I think I going to keep it."I said "ok. Do the father know and if you don't mind me asking who is the father?" He said, "no he doesn't know and the father....is Cesar."I said I have to tell him "Cesar how is he the father you said that y'all aren't together." he said "it was on...I don't know we just did."I said "Are you going to tell him?" he asks "I don't know. I'm not going to tell him right now I just need to find the right time."I said "we talk about this later I got to go. Get some rust sweetie." my dad said and left.

I sat on my bed and talk to McKenzie then I had to throw up after I get done throwing up I go outside for some fresh air and then I saw the picture of Olive "I wish you were here right now. I could really use my first girlfriend right now."I said and then I start walking back home.

"Hey look at that fine ass hyna."I hear some guy from Cesar's house "Hey leave her alone."Cesar said. I look back at him he looks surprised he got up and came over to me "What are you doing here should you be at that boring school." he asked, "it none of your business."I said and about to walk away "you shouldn't be out here by your self." he said "why you care? I walk home by myself before."I said "things are different at least let me drop you off." he said "no thank."I said and walk away.

I was only two blocks away from my house, but then a car pulls up "Hey Monse where that bitch of your?"Latrelle asks when did he get out "we're not together."I said "you shouldn't be walking home by yourself get in." he said "no thanks."I said, "I said get in!"Latrelle said and then he gets out of the car and his friends and they all surrounded me "those friends aren't here to save, but they couldn't even save that one girl I shot what was her name Olive and Cesar could have saved her if he would have killed me, but he was too weak."Latrelle said and grab my arms and push me up the fence "help!"I scream "be quiet and we make it quick."Latrelle said, "let her go."Cesar said and there were some other guys with him "yeah and what if I don't you're not going to do anything."Latrelle said and Cesar pulls out a gun and so did the other guys who were with him "let her go or this time I finish the job."Cesar said and pit the gun at Latrelle and Latrelle let me go and Latrelle and his friends drive away "you ok."Cesar ask me I didn't say anything I was too scared to move.

Cesar pick me up and put me in  his car and drive me to my house and he picks me and lay me on my bed "where your dad?" he asks "he had to go to work." I said "I'm staying the night here then." he said, "hell no your not staying here."I said "What if Latrelle shows up here." he said "fine."I said and went to go take a bath.

After I got done taking a bath I went to my room and tried to get some sleep, but I couldn't "Cesar."I said and he opens the door "yes." he said, "Can you stay with me please."I said. He lay next to me and I lay my head on his chest "this does mean anything."I said "didn't think it did." he said "good."I said "Cesar."I said and I look up at him "yeah" he said I should tell him. There never going to be a right I should say it he has a right to know "thank you."I said why couldn't I say it "Monse are you ok?" he asks "yeah why wouldn't I be?"I said "I don't know. you just seem different and it, not the holiday, so something has to happen. "He said "I'm moving back. Money and stuff" I said "ok...Monse do you want to tell me something?" he said dose he knows already? No, he can't "no.why you ask? I said "I don't know it just seems like you want to tell me something." he said. I close my eyes and go to sleep.
