The end

That was something Kirishima commonly saw at the end of books; Something that concluded stories with happy endings, ones that were unrealistic.

He'd get annoyed, because he knew happy endings never came that easy.

The characters' in the books would always "fake it till they made it" or just stop being sad, but that wasn't the case for commom people most of the time. You can't fake something like mental illness or a disorder away, and Kirishima knew that all too well.

You have to work hard, and sometimes it feels like you'll never make it.

Sometimes, you'll need someone there to help you, and that's okay.

It's hard to escape the water that's filling your lungs, squeezing your airways and weighing you down without an extra hand to lift you up.

And that someone for Kirishima, was Bakugo.

Of course, it was unexpected, but Bakugo wasn't the facade he put up; He had his own ways of showing affection, and knew what words to say in the right moment. He was caring, he didn't let his anger issues get the best of him when he was frustrated with Kirishima, because he knew it would only make things worse.

Now that Kirishima thinks about it, he had helped Bakugo change for the better too; They helped each other.

Like two puzzle pieces, one with sharp edges, and one with soft edges. Puzzle pieces that looked like they wouldn't fit to the naked eye, but if you looked close enough and took your time to analyze each piece, you would realize that when you actually tried to put them together instead of judging, they complimented each other perfectly.

And Kirishima thought that was a beautiful thing.

Right now, the two were sitting in a booth of a local cafe. The afternoon light shone through the windows, casting over the few customers as they enjoyed their stay. Vines, plants, all sorts of greenery complimented the brick walls of the small yet cozy building. Soft music played through speakers hung on the walls, setting a calm scenery.

This cafe was Kirishima and Bakugos' favorite, especially after a hard day at school. When they first found it, there were barely any people who came to the cafe; It was a place for the couple to escape from reality. From home, classmates, villains, anything that was on their minds. The cafe was special to them, and they've never got tired of it.

"I can't believe we're graduating soon!" Kirishima stirred his coffee as he rested his other hand on Bakugos'.

"You sure sound excited." Bakugo raised his eyebrows.

"How can you not be? Just think, we'll get to go out in the world and kick some ass soon! Oh and! We can finally live together, like we've been planning. Imagine how cute and modern we can decorate-"

"Okay, I get it." Bakugo smiled, chuckling softly at his boyfriend. The blondes red eyes looked down at their promise rings, his heart swelling warmly. Bakugo had gotten them promise rings in the middle of their third year. He had been, nervous, to say the least, but he was glad he did it. He wouldn't change a thing.

"I love you." Kirishima said suddenly, something that he does often.

"I love you too, Eijiro." Bakugos' cheeks flushed softly, he didn't think he'd ever get tired of saying that.

The sun shyly hid behind the trees as the sky turned from a pastel blue to a deep orange.

"It's getting late." Kirishima stated as he looked out the window, admiring the blended colors. "We should probably get going."

Bakugo kicked a rock in his way and continued walking on the side walk, holding Kirishimas' hand.

"You know, Katsuki..." Kirishima started.

"We always talk about getting a place to live together and all that after we graduate."

"Yeah?" Bakugos' eyebrow perked as he looked over at his boyfriend.

"But... do you want more than that? Like... getting married?"

Bakugo blushed deeply. "Well-"

"I just- I never realized how serious we were getting until the beginning of our 3rd year. But it made me think about us, and how our future will look like. Sometimes, I did doubt that maybe we wouldn't have one, and you'd leave me. Yet, it never stopped my mind from wandering. And then you gave me that promise ring- I'm getting off track." Kirishima blushed sheepishly. "What I'm trying to say is, I want a future with you, Katsuki. I want to fight crime together, buy a home, adopt kids and grow old. I want to be by your side for everything. And, I feel complete with you. You fixed me, and I think I fixed a part of you you didn't even know was broken. I love you so much.

Bakugo was speechless for a moment. "I- I love you too Eijiro. And if you would've let me finish, you would've heard me say I do want to marry you. I don't know what I'd do without you. I want everything you do- except kids, they're little devil spawns."

"Aw cmom, not even one?" Kirishima giggled.

"The least I can do is a cat."

"What about a dog?"

"You're pushing it, at this point we'll be getting just a hamster."

The last few minutes of their walk was filled with soft giggles.

The stars filled the sky one by one. Kirishima and Bakugo were cuddling each other in the blondes bed.

The two had visited everyone in the common room before coming up to the dorms. But the Bakusquad had immediately started making fun of the couple and how long they were gone together, so Bakugo had grabbed Kirishimas' wrist and dragged him up to his own dorm.

Bakugo rested his head on top of the others as his arms cradled the others waist.

Kirishima had gained muscle, which was prominent in his thighs and biceps, and rock hard abs that Bakugo would never admit to staring at all day long.

He had become healthy, not only in his body, but in his mind too.

He was happy with himself in his skin; Something he never thought would fully happen.

But he kept pushing through, no matter how hard it got.

Sure, there were the very, very rare days where he would feel down, but that was normal. Everyone has their bad days.

He had never told anyone else about his disorder, and he didnt have to. He doesn't own anyone anything.

"Katsuki."

"Yeah?"

"Thank you so much."

"For what?"

"For being here, for being you, for loving me."

"I promise I'll do all of those and more... forever." Bakugo kissed Kirishimas' forehead.

"Forever?"

"Forever... now go to sleep it's past 8:32."

"Whatever." Kirishima giggled quietly.

The two soon fell asleep, in each others arms.

This was the only ending that Kirishima liked.

The end
