"No, isn't that shit N over something squared?" I ask Julie pointing at the problem. My STAT homework couldn't be harder right now and I'm pretty sure she is trying to kill us. I was going to text Jeremy but they have practice right now, which absolutely blows. Asher texted me telling me they had late practice and he wouldn't respond until after. After making things official on Saturday things have been great. Lacey on the other hand hasn't spoken much to Rae and I.

"I honestly have no idea, we didn't learn this," Julie says taking the paper out of my hand. She pushes her glasses up her nose and studies the paper in front of her. I groan and place my head in my hands. I am glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get fucking STAT.

"And this is why I didn't take STAT," Tori comments from her bed. I raise my head to glare at her and she laughs. "Why haven't you ask Jeremy?"

"He's at practice right now and I'm really tired," I whine laying my head on my desk. Tori laughs as Julie hops up onto my bed. She hands me the paper and shakes her head.

"I'm sorry but I really can't help you," Julie says offering me a smile. I groan loudly laying back on my bed. I can't do anymore STAT homework or I will cry.

"I'm dropping out."

"You aren't dropping out," Tori says as I put an arm over my eyes. I know I won't but I want to. So badly. Okay, maybe not. Honestly, I just wanna know how to do STAT. I also wish they were out of practice right about now because I don't have any desire to deal with this by myself. I stare up at the ceiling covering my eyes with my arm.

"I am taking a break then," I sigh hearing the ruffling of my papers. Julie lightly taps my leg as I move my arm away from my eyes. I glance back at her and she offers me a smile.

"At least you have a passing grade at the moment," Julie says trying to give me a hopeful smile. I am about to respond to her but pause when my phone starts ringing. I groan loudly twisting around to grab my phone on the side of the bed. I unplug it from the cord and pick it up.

"What?" I ask leaning my head back on my pillows. I hear a lot of shuffling on the other end and furrow my eye brows. I glance at the caller ID and see that it's Trey. Tori mouths a 'who is it?' but I ignore her.

"Carter, how fast can you get here?" Trey asks quickly as I hear yelling in the background. I sit up quickly and furrow my eyebrows.

"Get where?" I ask him tossing my STAT things off of my lap. Julie and Tori look at me confused but I wave them off as I hop off of my bed. A pit is forming in my stomach and I know exactly where I'm suppose to go. It's Asher, it has to be about Asher.

"Basketball, how fast? I can pick you up if you need it but-"

"Give me ten minutes," I tell him quickly. Rae is at cheer practice so I can't use her car because she is probably either already there or still in practice. It's not a long walk at all. Eight minutes top. Especially if I run.
