Chapter 30

Caleb's Pov:

We were preparing for the money and we went to their ware house.
I met the workers there and asked for the old man.
We went inside his room before handed him money I asked " Where is veronica".
The old man smiled " young love"
She is upstairs". He gestured his men and they guide me.
I heard someone laughing inside a dark room.
That I saw a big man pushing a girl that  was ver.
I ran towards them only to be held by the men.
They punched me and elbowed me.
I took my gun out and shoot in air.
Everyone turned to me. Our eyes met. I could see the sigh of relief she had in her eyes.

I also saw kyle there and was confused was he also part of this.
Did he held them kidnapped her.
I always knew he liked her or infact loved her but due to their relationship he never had the guts to tell her.

This made me more angry.
I went to that man I never seen before and angrily spat " move"

He looked at me amusingly.
I went past her and held her in my arms.

And took her hand was about to go
Only to block by their men.

" How come to think of going this easy you assh*le." " She is not going anywhere, now she is mine"

Without even thinking I punched him hard very hard he fell back.
His man gripped us both.
Ver was crying as they hold her by her hair.

" Leave her  now" I spatted.
Only to got a punch.
They puched me hard very hard.

He started takling in something spanish.

They locked us in that room and left.

This was also the part of tha plan.
Coz they won't kill us. Coz they know who we were.
I know my father and police must be on their way.

At night the sleep in this warehouse building with less men and that will be the chance for us to seal all the property and catch them.

One of their member was in our team.
So that will help us escape from there.

I held ver and say soothing words so that she can sleep peacefully.

At midnight, we heard gun shots and police sirens. And we both got alert.
Kyle came and help us escape. Ver told me about him.
We went from back and reached our blue van and then safely went home.
All this hard night..

After reaching home, mom came and took us in bear hug and cried.
Ver and mom got really close in these times.
They are like a girl gang always came up to something.

I sighed relief that we are safe.
Then mom asked " where is your father"
I froze.

" But aunty isn't he is at home" ver asked.
" No he went to all bodyguards to get you both"
This made we rushed towards the door.

" Caleb, please stop"
Ver came and stopped me.

" Please do go" she said. " Ver" I said.
" I am sorry, I know he is your father but he will be back". She cried
" Shut up ver"
I said and left.
I know I was harsh. And I know she cared about me. But he is my father.

I rushed inside the warehouse

There were firing and some of their men were catched by police.
Some were hiding.

I saw my father and rushed to him.
He hugged me " lets go this is not a safe place. Why did you even came here"

He was about to say something we heard a gun shot .
There he was the mafia king lying on the floor. He was killed by officer Frank.

They took his lifeless body and he father.

We were about to go out.
When I Heard Kyle voice.
"Caleb move"
And it was too late.

Coz a man shot me on my back.
And then i saw blood on my shirt I stumbled.
My father cried he held me.
As I the blackness overpowers me.

Veronica's Pov

As we were pacing in the house. Waiting for caleb and his father to come home.
I know I shouldn't have said that but I care about caleb. I got scared what is something happened to him.
I am sorry but I love him so much to let him get hurt.

" Ver please eat honey, they will be back."
"Let me clean you baby"
Look at you, you haven't eaten anything since last night, come on now ".
She is always like a mom to me. She always cared about me just like her daughter.
I shooked my head " I am scared" and cried in her arms.

Then she said soothing words to me.
Which make me give in to her request.
I went to caleb's room and took a shower. Changed into his tee and my sweatpants.

I went downstairs. She was on the phone talking.
" What" tears rolled down her cheeks.

I ran towards her " what happened"
" Caleb " she cried
" What happened to him"

Marry came and told me he was shoot

That was the last word I heard and darkness enveloped me.
