Second Person POV

The leaves of the pink cherry blossoms fell from its branches, falling onto the slightly damp cement, as you sighed taking in the fresh air. Deciding to take a walk around your area since you had a lot on your mind, you determined that if you were to stretch your legs it would help loosen your everlasting fear of talking to new people.

As a result of your personality, you rarely interacted with anyone other than yourself and your parents; you were the type of person to have a rather closed mindset, not that that was bad or anything, it was just that this closed mindset of yours caused you to shy away from people, ultimately making it so you'd ignoring most of who you've been acquainted with.

You weren't always like this though, to be quite frank, this strange quirk of yours only started a couple of years ago. Before that, you were fine with human interaction, it never bothered you in the slightest. But now, since this rising anxiety has been growing within you, you feared that by tomorrow- when you started your first day of school, you wouldn't be able to conquer your nervousness.

As a shaking breath left your soft lips, you lightly clutched onto the warm sweater you had been wearing, in hopes of trying to warm up your small, cold hands. If only your parents hadn't found that new job opportunity you wouldn't be in this mess. Sadly since they had decided to switch cities this meant you were going to have to attend a new school.

Removing your gaze from the moist streets, you stopped by a nearby park as you smiled remembering the first time you had actually made friends with someone.

"You do know the average human body carries ten times more bacterial cells than human cells, so if you were to eat that park sand in your hand, you'd get sick." A (h/c) girl said looking towards the small brunette in the sandbox.

Slowly setting the sand down he looked at you, confusion written all over his face."How do you know that? " He questioned.

"I enjoy reading science books, it helps me further my knowledge in everyday things, you should try it sometime," you said looking back down at the book you had been holding.

"Wow, that's so cool! I'm Taiju Oki, nice to meet you."

"I'm (Y/n) (L/n), likewise."

Sadly he was only your friend for a short period of time, due to the fact that he had to move away shortly after. Clasping both of your cheeks with your hands, you mentally cursed for losing track of time. "I have to get home before mom questions my whereabouts."

Gazing towards the setting sun once more, you took your final deep breath before reluctantly making your way home.

...

Your house was nothing special, it consisted of an off-white porch and was an old rocking chair that had been slightly torn up by weather debris. Arriving at your front door, you slowly inserted the key and stepped inside, greeting both of your parents before you went upstairs.

"Mom, Dad, I've arrived," you called out, trying to make your presence known.

Facing the front door your mother greeted back with a small smile, "Welcome home." Leaving a small kiss on your forehead she slowly walked away, telling you that diner should have been done in a little while.

Taking off your shoes you slowly made your way upstairs, letting your mind wander. Paying no attention to your surroundings, you tripped on one of the steps of the staircase. It wasn't the first time you've done this, it was your new house, after all, you hadn't grown accustomed to its slightly elevated steps.

Setting yourself up, you used your hands to hoist yourself off of the ground, rubbing your now bruised knee in the process.

Grabbing the neatly folded pyjamas you placed on your bed, you quickly made your way towards the bathroom, in hopes of taking a quick shower to rinse off any dirt that may have accumulated itself onto you during your walk.

Stripping yourself of all of your clothing, you stepped into the shower, closing the glass door that prevented the water from escaping behind you.

Turning the knob to the left, you slowly awaited for the water that poured above you to adapt to the warmness your body was used to feeling. Sensing the water was just right, you closed your eyes, applying shampoo to your hair making sure you didn't get any in your (e/c) orbs.

Gently, you began lathering it into your hair, feeling all of its bubbles begin to froth. When you thought you had finished, you began to rinse it out with the hot water that poured over your form.

Grabbing the bar of soap that rested in its soap dish, you placed it against your skin, making sure you didn't miss any spots, watching it paint your skin with its white colour.  Rinsing off your body, you carefully exited the shower, still dripping with water.

Wrapping a towel against your form you looked at your fogged-up mirror. Pressing your finger against it you make two lines parallel to each other and underneath it a wide-shaped letter "u".

Looking at your creation you sighed, a smiley face. The only times you ever smiled were when you were alone or when there were at least very few people around you. Wiping the remaining fog off of the mirror you looked at your reflection.

What a mess.

As usual, you let a frown paint your lips, before hearing the shouts of your mom tell you that dinner was ready and that you should most likely get out while it was still hot.

Taking one last glance in the mirror you sighed, why did you have to be this way?
