"Baby girl time to wake up!" My brother  Russell shouted from the end of the hall and I hopped up instantly because I was super excited for today, today was the day I watch my best friend Khelsey for the first time and I know y'all wondering how is this her first time ever going to one of his games? Well, I never get too because I run track and every time he and Russell have a game im warming up for my race but anyway.

I was finished getting ready I had on my custom shirt with Russell and Khelsey on it along with there numbers on each side of my cheeks, some apple bottom jeans (apple bottom jeans T-PAIN HEADASS😂😂) and my high top black and white Chuck Taylors, my hair was in box braids so I just put them up in a bun then called it a day after putting on extra lotion and spaying a little Versace perfume.

"Khelsey, Russell get that win please." They nodded and they both gave me hugs and Khelsey kissed my forehead before he walked off I pulled him back a little "you know what to do buddy." We chuckled and he ran towards where the rest of the team was and I heard some girls scoff behind me but I shrugged them off and rolled my eyes watching my brother and best friend warm-up,

"Go, Russ!!!" I shouted to my brother as he was about to shoot the ball and he made it "go ahead!!" Everyone cheered and shouted on Russell and Khelsey, we had 24 more seconds on the clock (Kobe💜💛) and Khelsey had the ball then all the girls went wild "go KK" wtf? Is KK I scoffed and focused more on KB and the ball "you got this Barrs." I whispered

WE WON!! I ran on the court straight to my brother first and we did our handshake, then I went to Khelsey and we did ours "im so proud of you guys!" I shouted over the loud cheers and everyone came up patting his back and first bumping him including Russell of course "good job bro!" They bro hugged each other "appreciate it fam, you too Russ." I smiled at the two because they were my pride and joy.

We had got some punch and water, along with food and some snacks than just joked around and chopped it up with folks I hugged onto Khelsey who had his arm wrapped around my shoulder while Russell just kept smirking at me and I just rolled my eyes, I noticed how KB's breathing was fast which I understand he just got done playing basketball but this wasn't normal and he should have calmed down by now "Khelsey are you okay?" I asked looking up ay him and next thing I know his eyes rolled back and he was on the floor "KHELSEY!!" everyone started panicking and running our way to check what was going on but the school security and teachers stopped them, I just sat there crying and panicked that my best friend was in my arms on the floor unconscious "KB please wake up please" I said outta breath a little and choking up on my tears as I tapped his face a little, I was in Russell's arms hugging him tightly as Khelsey's mom was crying while my mother and others supported her from falling "my baby!" That was all it took for me to run towards the park that I and KB went all the time too hang out and I prayed while tears streamed down my face

"God, please oh please watch over Khelsey Barrs and make sure he is alright and okay and pulls through whatever he is going through that's my best friend and I love him so much, god." I poured my eyes out and I heard footsteps behind me so I popped up and looked back to see Russell "Y/n! Don't run off like that come on we are going to the hospital,

We were now at the hospital in the waiting room waiting for some kind of news, I was on Russell's lap as we hugged onto each other for dear life tryna keep calm and watched as my mother and some other women tried to keep Mrs. Barrs calm then a doctor walked up and I instantly got nervous " family of Khelsey Barrs?" We all hopped up he looked down and sighed I knew at the moment seething terrible was wrong "im so sorry... Khelsey didn't make it." I got in front of him "this is a joke right?" Hot tears ran down my face and the doctor looked down "im sorry, he had an enlarged heart." I broke down crying and Russell caught me "NO!" I kept kicking and screaming and they gave me some water then took me outside so I could calm down and get some air, it wasn't helping I really lost my best friend, my soulmate, my everything, he is truly gone.

I can just remember his smile and us having a conversation about everything that goes on in life and our future "basketball in heaven..."
