Eighteen

<Kaycee POV>

May 26th

Tahani, Bailey and I all stayed up playing truth or truth-as Tahani called it- until it was 4am.

'Oh boy, I'm exhausted and my stomach hurts from laughing so much' Bailey groaned as she laid back on the comforter.

'Mine too. As much as I'd like to stay awake I think I gonna hit the bed' I spoke getting up and walking towards the bed.

'You guys are such par-' Tahani whined before getting cut off

'Party poopers, we know T' Bailey and I spoke in unison.

'You guys are no fun' Tahani said before getting into her bed and snuggling in beside Bailey.

'Good night guys' I yawned.

'Good night' they murmured before we dozed off.

<Sean POV>

I was back at home now, Tate had to leave early yesterday because she had a dance class to attend, and I was in my garage all day yesterday. I just couldn't get the song that Kaycee had showed me out of head. There was something special about it but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Was it the melody, the lyrics, the beat?

But right now I was getting out of bed before heading downstairs to cook up some breakfast. I made a mental reminder to ask Mama about hanging out with Tate in June. I cooked up some eggs with toast and bacon and made my way to the couch in front of the TV.

I was munching away on breakfast when I heard Mama and Papa coming down the stairs. Perfect, I'll ask them now. 

'Hey guys' I asked cheerily.

'Morning dear' Mama and Papa replied sitting down beside me. ' so I forgot to ask but did you have any trouble the day before yesterday, when we went out to see your aunty?' Mama asked.

' nope, I invited Kaycee over so it was all good' I replied biting into my last piece of toast.

'Okay good, just making sure' Papa said getting up and heading for the kitchen.

'Wait before you guys go, yesterday Tate had asked me if I could hang out with her on the 4th of June and then stay over for the the 5th, is it okay with you guys?' I asked 

' Son, we have no problem with you staying over with her. But you know that the  4th of June is game night with the Rice family.' Papa reminded me.

'Oh yeah, I forgot' I replied.

'No worries. Why don't you text her. Maybe go on a date at night time on a June 5th and then stay over at her house for the 6th, or something like that' Papa said patting my back.

'Okay cool, I'll tell you guys the final decision'

Both my parents nodded in approval before making their way to the kitchen and eating the plate of breakfast I had made for them. That was how it was in my house. Who ever woke up first,had to make breakfast for the whole family. Putting my plate into the dishawasher, I decided to text Tate.

 Hey, how was dance yesterday? I can't make it on the 4th of June, but I'm free on the 5th and 6th.

Dance was fine. 

Oh that's fine. We can have attempt at a date number 2 at night time on the 5th and then you can stay over for the 6th🥰🥰
