Hey cuties, I'd really love it if you could show your appreciation by voting - even for past chapters you may have forgotten. Only if it's not too much of a bother on your end x

I lay here, sprawled náked in the wrinkled bed sheets for what feels like an eternity, replaying each moment in my head on a loop. Contained in each thread of cotton is a secret that only two share, and it makes it all the more special. I don't recall how long I've been laying here, replaying the course of an evening ago in my mind; kind of in the way where your eyes are drawn back to a certain paragraph of a captivating story, requiring you to re read it's verse, where it resonates deep into your soul.

What I can say with complete certainty however, is that he was my first thought upon waking. The first thought my mind raced to while the morning birds chirped, the music played from a passing car, and our neighbour yelling at his dog to hurry up with his wee - all completely unaware that the world has changed. They don't understand... this. This feeling, and this... connection. They simply couldn't, because it has to be felt to be understood.

I roll over to grab my phone, and see a string of messages left by a handful of my contacts. I choose to open the one from Lucy first.

I can sit here and tell myself that I don't need the approval of my family, but that would just be a lie

I can sit here and tell myself that I don't need the approval of my family, but that would just be a lie. This only gives me more motivation to keep going, and go even further with everything. I choose to read Celia's next.
