Aelia's pov

"Luna my dear" my mother greeted Luna as she emerged from the kitchen

"Miss G, how's it going?" Luna asked. Excuse me, what? Miss G??!

"I'm great, you look amazing" my mother complimented, I stood between them as they talked over me like giants

"Is dinner ready?" I asked, finally getting their attention

"Ah yes, dinner is ready, I just need to freshen up for a bit. I'll be down soon" my mother added before rushing upstairs

I felt Luna's eyes on me, I turned to face her and her eyes landed on my lips, I raised a brow

"Are you okay?"

"You have no idea how bad I want to kiss you" she whispered loud enough for me to hear, I felt... Tingles... Everywhere

"What's stopping you?" I smirked, she furrowed her brows

"I know you're not out to your dad yet, I don't wanna risk anything" she said. Ugh for fuck sakes. Heaven sent me a great one

"You're honestly making it so hard for me not to fall in love with you" I mumbled turning to face her, luckily it wasn't loud enough

"Sorry, what was that?" she questioned

"Nothing" I smiled and tugged on the bottom of her shirt. Luna's face came closer to mine, her lips hovered over my ear

"You're making it hard for me too Princess" I swallowed a lump in my throat as the words left her mouth

Luna gave a low chuckle that literally turned me on. I felt my entire body turn red. My head leaned against her chest in attempt to hide my blush. Luna just continued her laughter

"What's going on in here?" a voice came from behind us. Fuck.

"Dad" I said while I pull away from Luna, instantly feeling the warmth of her body fade away

I met his piercing stare, the strong gaze he had made my blood run cold.

"Dad, this is-"

"Luna. How are you dear" my father chuckled as he stretched his hand out to Luna

"I'm well sir, how's the elections going?" she asked. Am I missing something?

"Ah, great, just great" he grinned
"So you'll be joining us tonight?" he asked

"I would hope so, I'd love to find out more about your new position in Congress" Luna smirked

"Oh you, I haven't won"

"yet" Luna added

"Ah, don't make me blush" my father chuckled
"Come, let's eat" he motioned for us to enter to dining room

We walked into the medium sized room that was painted black.
The light was dim but lit enough to see the food.
A round bowl of pasta sat in the
center as it was surrounded with red and white wine that touched a chilled wine glass. Small plates held croissants and pastries. There was even a fresh pink salmon. What in the?

Baked potato too?

The table was beautifully lined with white lining and silver embroidering that touched the marble floor. 2 white plates were placed on end of the rectangular table.

Luna and I took our seat and my father walked to the opposite end about 6 feet away.

"So sorry about that, yes let's dig in" my mother hurried to her seat next to my father. I felt a hand intertwined with my under the table, I hid my smile
