Part 15: Who are you...

{Johns POV}

I growled seeing my mate protecting another male wolf. Especially one that was new to our territory and nobody knows.

"Vivian! You don't know who this guy is. Get in the car, so I can take care of him" I snarled as she stood still with a worried look,

"He didn't do anything wrong John, leave him alone" She says protectively as I see the guy behind her look down at her with a soft expression making my blood boil,

"You don't know anything about him Vivian, the car he's driving was reported missing two years ago and the owner of the car was killed a few months ago. Obviously it's not a mystery to figure out who the killer is" I say crossing my arms while glaring at the guy behind her looking back at me with a shocked look,

"Let me guess....you never knew about the person YOU STOLE THE CAR FROM?!" I growled out trying to calm my wolf down from wanting to come out,

"This car was given to me by my mother I just met two weeks ago" He says with a confused look as I rolled my eyes at his fake excuse,

"V, you have to believe me" He pleads while grabbing my mates arm only for me to growl out in anger pulling her quickly away from his touch,

"Don't touch her! Your not allowed anywhere near her!" I shout now moving in front of him grabbing his collar,

"John stop!" Vivian shouts pulling my arm as I felt my wolf start to take over,

"John! I swear to god I WILL REJECT YOU IF YOU DONT PUT HIM DOWN NOW!" My mate shouts angrily as I dropped the scared wolf in my hands turning around to my scared mate,

"You can't leave me" I say slowly trying to calm my breathing as she looked up at me with a scared expression before wrapping her arms around me quickly,

"I won't leave you, but please don't hurt him" she says looking up at me with tears in her eyes as I sighed,

"I won't hurt him, but I want to know what happened to the car and why he's here in the first place" I reply while kissing her forehead as she nods,

"Christian! Ethen! Head over to Maudes diner down the street from the school, I'm gonna catch up with our new friend here" I say throwing my car keys at Christian who nods and heads back into my car with Ethen,

"Come on newbie, let's talk on our way to the diner" I say putting my arm around the confused wolf as my mate smiles before getting into the back of the new wolfs car,

"So, who are you Alejandro?" I ask as I sat in the passenger seat turning to the annoyed driver next to me,

"I don't know. Who are you John?" He asks sarcastically while driving as I chuckled,

"Usually people in the pack don't talk to me the way you do, but than again, your not from our pack huh pretty boy?" I ask sitting side ways in my seat scanning over Alejandro suspiciously,

"What are you the alpha king or something?" He asks with a raised brow as I rubbed my chin,

"No, I'm just his brother in law" I reply with a shrug as his eyes widened while he glanced back at me in shock,

"I know, I know. It's weird. But it's not my fault that my older sister just happened to be the alpha King's mate. I never understood that but I guess it's pretty cliche that a poor female wolf ends up being the mate of some man in the royal kingdom like how most romance movies are" I mumble while rolling my eyes,

"How did they meet?" Vivian asks as I turned behind me seeing my mate looking back at me with curiosity,

"I don't know exactly how they met, but I think my sister said something about how she met him in the woods when she was out delivering baked treats in our small village" I say trying to remember the stories my sister would always brag about to our family about how her and Kaden met,

"Awww that's so cute" Vivian says with awe as I smiled at her cute expression,

"Not to ruin the moment but where exactly is the diner we're going too?" Alejandro asks while clearing his throat awkwardly as I rolled my eyes,

"Just follow my car up front, shouldn't be so hard to notice since it is a bright shiny blue car. Unlike this dumpster we're in right now" I say in disgust while looking around the car as Alejandro grips the steering wheel,

"Why didn't you go with them in your blue shiny car then?" Alejandro asks through clenched teeth as I shrugged,

"I was thinking since my mate obviously wants me not to kill you, than I should get some alone time with you to see why my mate is protecting you" I say opening the glove compartment in front of me,

"What are you doing!?" Alejandro gasps while trying to keep his eyes on the road and glancing back at me,

"Looking for something" I say searching through some empty candy wrappers before my eyes widened at the touch of metal,

"What do we have here?" I ask with a raised brow pulling out a revolver as Alejandro stops the car in front of the diner we were supposed to go to in the first place,

"Why are you searching through his stuff John?!" Vivian gasps as I slide out the cartridge seeing no bullets,

"So you don't want me to kill this new guy, but your okay with him having a revolver in his car THAT YOU TWO WERE ALONE IN BEFORE I FOUND YOU GUYS?!" I shout now getting angry at the fact that this guy could've killed my mate and she still defended him,

"You don't know if he had it be-" before my mate finished Alejandro cut her off,

"I keep it for self defense, I'm sorry that I didn't grow up having protection and having people that love me around since I was a pup. Is that what you wanted to know your highness?" Alejandro replied looking straight forward not turning to me as he asks his question,

"You wanna know who I am prince John? I'm Alejandro, a wolf who was thrown in a trash can after my mom tried to sell me for drugs as a baby. I was raised by an old rogue wolf that trained me to survive without a pack before the age of 12 when a pack of rogues decided to kill him and take me as their slave. It took me four years to fight them off on my own only to have some guards from your pack drag me to my crackhead mom that just got out of prison a few days ago and since I'm not 18 yet now has full custody of me in her broken down one bedroom house at the edge of your pack that she kicks me out at the middle of the night so she can make money by sleeping with random guys on my bed. That's who I am prince John, the in law of the alpha king" he says bitterly at the end before getting out of the car as Vivian follows while glaring back at me.
