I had been busy sipping my drink in one corner of the bar while Nandini had been swaying her hips with the music.

My eyes never for once left her and I couldn't help but think how in the world did I end up with her, not that I regret it.

We just were the complete opposite.

But that didn't matter. She really had a kind of aura which attracted me. I did things which I would never have done, if not for her.

"Caught you red handed." She said, breaking my trance as she reached me. I smiled looking at her.

"Well I have the rights to stare at my wife."

She carelessly sat on my lap, before wrapping her arms around my neck. "I am not your wife yet."

"But you'll be in the next 24 hours." I gently pulled her closer and her smile widened. I dropped a light peck on top of her head but before I could kiss her on her lips. Navya interrupted our scene.

"You guys can do this after getting married. C'mon it's your bachelor's party. I am already annoyed that you guys planned to have a combined party and now all this PDA."

"Are you jealous?" Nandini craned her neck a bit to look at Navya. "Well then you can do this stuffs with your boyfriend."

"Nandini putting love over friendship ain't fair."

"Everything's fair in love and war." Nandini smirked before pushing me down and kissing me hard. She was way too bold at times.

Locking my hands around her back, I responded back. I could hear a chorus of 'ohh' from the crowd. We pulled away grinning, before she hugged me tightly, hiding her blushing face in my chest.

I cut a glance at Navya who had been giggling, before her boyfriend (my best friend) potato face urf Cabir engulfed her in a back hug. Well they had recently started dating.

"Wanna sneak out?" I asked. She looked at me with a big goofy smile, waggling her head in yes. This was so her. She just wouldn't stay in one place but strangely she did in my heart.

We disappeared into the crowd and the next moment we were out if the pub, holding each other's hand. "So where next?"

I looked up at the night sky. The starry night looked way too beautiful. "Wanna go star gazing?" I asked.

She looked at the night sky and then towards me. "Well sounds boring but I know it won't be when you are around. So let's go." She said, excitedly.

We got in the car and after buying half a box of can beer and some snacks, I drove to an isolated cliff, somewhere I usually dropped by when I felt miserable.

We sat there at the edge of the cliff, dangling our feets and gazing at the stars with a can beer in our hands.

The environment was way too peaceful, something she didn't like but something I did. "I love the stars. I bet you don't?" I said, looking at the starry night.

"Well they don't look bad today. May be because you are there beside me." I could hear her cheerful voice, before I felt her head lean on my arm. I looked at her and she looked at me.

"Who taught you such cheesy stuffs?"

She raised her from my arm. "Well I am stating the fact. I never really enjoyed staring at them but today of all days it looks beautiful."

"You are making my heart flutter." I looked away from her and I wasn't lying. I could hear giggle as she slid her right hand around my waist, side hugging me. I wrapped my left hand around her neck, supporting her.

"Why do you like the stars so much?" She asked. "Like you even draw them. The last time I visited your place I saw a painting of the starry night."

"Because they remind me of my mum." I slowly spoke out. I smiled wistfully as the memories of my mum filled my brain. "She used to say when people die they become stars."

"But I heard when people die they become ghosts." I heard her say and I couldn't help but shot her a glare, more like an accusing glare.

"Are you trying to scare me?"

"So did it scare you?" She asked.

"Nah- not happening." I denied before shifting my gaze to the sky and that made her chuckle. I couldn't help but smile too. She really had the power to make me smile.

"Let me promise you one thing." I looked at her, indicating her to continue. "If I go up there first-" She pointed towards the sky. "I'll reserve a place for you right beside me and I'll wait for you."

I hit her lightly on her head. "Don't say such things. That place is not for you and you are not going there, at least not before I do."

I lost my mum but not her. Just the thought of her not being around me scared me. Placing my can beer aside I hugged her tightly. "I can not imagine a life without you anymore."

She let out a soft sigh, before hugging me back and patting my back slowly. "I won't leave you, not even after my last breath. I'll stick to you even if it's as a ghost."

I broke the hug. "I don't want to have any discussion on this topic. Topic change." I said, grumpily and she lightly pulled my cheeks.

"Okay I won't talk about this. But I just wanted to let you know how much I love you. I really love you. I can spent my whole lifetime with you."

"What did you just say?" She just confessed that she loved me, not that I didn't know but still those words felt so good to hear.

"I can spent my whole lifetime-"

"No before that."

"Uhh I wanted to-"

"No after that."

She smiled, before repeating her lines. "I really love you."

My smile widened. "Say that again."

"Uhh I lov- no leave it. I am not in mood to say."

I shook her lightly. "Nandini please no!"

"First my reply." She said, dangling her feets in the air.

I gently pecked her cheek and replied, "I love you too."

"I love you my honey." She said, emphasizing every word she spoke out.
