Backstory: Her father is from France, and her mother is from Port Royal, England. Her parents met when her father came to her mother for help hiding from the authorities chasing after him, and she agreed to give him sanctuary there. While he stayed there, they fell in love, and got married. Her father settled down and not long after, they had Christopher, and then Penelope. Penelope had a great life, and when she was fourteen she began working in her mother's dress shop. It's because of this that she got many dress orders from Governer Swann for Elizabeth, and she quickly became friends with the young woman. While working for the Swann family, she met Will, and she became friends with him as well, but this friendship was special. And she keeps this friendship until the day the Black Pearl comes, and they take Penelope away. She was at the Swann house the night of the attack, and she was able to get Elizabeth out of the house before Penelope herself was taken by the pirate crew.
