chapter five- He Woke Up

Third person POV

It's been three days since the accident happened. It was found out that the dumb truck driver had drank too much alcohol while driving.

It has also been three days since Alexander was on the hospital bed. His parents are really worried about him. He is still in an unconscious state. Good thing his life is not in danger anymore.

While he is in coma his father took his position as the CEO of the company.

His mother and sister visited him almost everyday and talked to him about how much they love him and miss the time spent with him..

On his third day, his mother went to get his belongings and Lucy was left alone with his brother.

Lucy pleaded with her unconscious brother " big bro please... wake up, you still owe me my Valentino limited bag... huhuhuhu.. '' Lucy tries to joke with her brother, finding it hard to control her emotional state.

" You know I love you very much right? You're my ideal boyfriend. You are handsome, sweet and hardworking"

"And oh... There is this doctor here in the hospital. She is so beautiful and pretty. I wanna be like her brother." She sighs dreamily.

"She looks like a model.. How come she became a doctor? Oh god... If I have that beauty I will surely be a model."

"And oh she is one of your doctors, who takes good care of you."

The door to the room opens. And a girl in a short dress gets inside.

"Oh babe what happened to you?" The girl cried

"Hey who are you?" Lucy asked "my mom said never let stranger get inside"

"I am not a stranger OK? I'm his girl friend"

"Care to explain? My brother never introduced a girl to us." Lucy said

"Silly little girl..then I will introduce myself. I am Sally Kelly."

"OK.. My brother needs to rest. Can you please get out?"

"You spoiled brat! Don't treat me that way cause I'm soon to be your sister in-law. I will go now say Hi to him for me when he wakes up" sally said while back outside the room

"Girlfriend my butt. Who is she kidding. Urg..!! Why do many women claim you as her boyfriend, big bro? But you never acknowledge any one of them? I pity them"

The door to the room opened again, revealing her Mom with lots of stuff in her hands.

"Hey mom can you believe it's been the fifth woman who has claimed to be big bro's  girlfriend who came and visited." Lucy told her mother.

"Hahahaha... you know your brother honey. It will be impossible if no one appears here claiming him as boyfriend. He plays a lot of women. How I wish he will stop his charade"

"I don't understand what he saw on those women. They are all nothing but thick make-up and a bitchy attitude." Lucy said

There's a knock on the door and it opens revealing the head surgeon.

"How's the patient? "Asked the doctor.

"He's good today. He doesn't have a fever anymore. But still not wake up" Alex mother said

"Don't worry..maybe he is still recovering. Lets just pray and hope he will recover fast" said the doctor.

Alexander POV

My consciousness keeps getting better. I can now feel my body though I can only feel pain, too much pain that it's like I was being crushed by a truck. I can also hear voices which some of them are familiar to me. Which is from my mom, and little pumpkin. Then there's a strange voice who keeps talking about me.

After several attempts to open my eyes I finally succeeded. As the moment I open my eyes I am almost blindéd by the lights and brightness that welcome me.

"Mom?"I could barely whisper. My throat hurts like hell.

"Son, are you OK? My god doctor Mark, he awake." My mom said happily while she looked at me with tears in her eyes. It broke my heart to see her in that state.

"Mom I'm thirsty.. Can I have water ple..see" I spoke as I choked on the last word since my throat hurts and it's dry.

"Oh thank god.. of course honey. Lucy give your brother water" My mom instructed Lucy and she quickly moved. She handed me a glass of water.

"Here brother?.? Here straw so you can drink properly." My sister looked at me with tears in her eyes.

I drank all the water. And I smiled at her.

"Hey pumpkin, why are you crying? It's not suitable for you?" I told her.

"Can I examine you for a while Mr. Alex? I am your doctor in charge. " said the guy with a white coat. So he is my doctor.

"I am Mark... I am your doctor in charge. Me and my team of surgeons operated on you. Thank god you are awake. It's been three since you've slept. "

"I will examine your head.. how are you feeling?" Mark asked me

"My head hurts like hell. "I answered

"My body hurts so much too. Is something wrong? "I continue to answer.

"Luckily you don't have any major damage. You can still walk after a few days. But right now it will still be painful for you to move."

"Can you still remember what happened?" Mark asked

"Yeah... I got into an accident on my way home. ''I answered.

"But where is my wife?" I asked.

"Wife?" My mom asked

"Yes wife... I got married two months ago!" I said to them. My mom and Lucy looked at me like I had grown two horns. Why are they looking at me like that?

"Oh honey! You are not married. Although I've been telling you about it, you keep denying my request!" Then she turned her attention to the doctor " Doctor is something wrong with him? Why does he think he is married when he's not?" My mom asked to the doctor

"Urg my head is aching. Mom, I am telling you the truth. I am married" I told her

"OK, let's calm down. I will prescribe medicine for your head. For a moment let me talk to you mam outside?" The doctor said and asked my mom out.

"Take some rest honey. I will be back, OK? "Mom said to me and I nodded my head since I think I needed a rest for now cause my head hurts like hell.

"OK mom...I'm still sleepy anyway. Pumpkin I will talk to you later" and with that I closed my eyes and drifted off to the dream land again.

Third POV

Doctor Mark made his way outside. And immediately he asked the nurse to call doctor Marialle and Mandy to the patient's room.

Alexander's mom went outside after a couple of minutes.

"Doctor what happened? Why does he say he is married? I don't know if he is married. He never had a girlfriend." She said,

"I think it's due to his injury. We still need to observe him. He hit his head very hard. His memories are getting mixed with non-existent memories." Mark said.

"Is that possible?" Alex's mom asked, perplexed.

"I don't know... I never had any patients like this. Maybe in a couple of days or months it will come back to its original state. For now I will perform some laboratories test on him"

"Don't worry mam we will do our best. Let's just calm down for a while. You can get inside while I talk to my co surgeon about this."

Alexander's mom left wondering what had happened to her son.
