The day has arrived, and it's time for the challengers to meet, face-to-face.

Today was the day.

It wasn't even dawn yet and the Siren of Seaguard had already begun pumping up everyone with a course of her musical talents.

The siren's voice rang throughout the halls of the dark tower awakening those still slumbering within.

"This place is still creepy." Mezmo whined as the Treble Makers pulled themselves out of the enormous bed. "Even with that tapestry blocking some of the view from the bed it doesn't stop being creepy." Snappa pointed out.

"So big day for the future queen." Chokun said with a half-hearted laugh trying to lighten the mood.

"I must pass this trial first." (Y/N) reminded him. The male Treble Makers all noticed how cold and stoic she was today. Almost numb.

Lasha and Snappa gave each other a worried look. She didn't seem cold or angry– just was... resigned. They were about to say something when a knock was at the door.

"It is time." Pythor called from the other side of the door. Queen Selma had sent him to escort them down to the courtyard.

Mezmo to the lead and led them out of the bedroom and down the hall. The tension in the air was thick. And everyone was on edge. If this went wrong it meant enslavement or war depending on who won. This was a huge gamble. But tradition was tradition and this was the only way to cement (Y/N)'s claim as the undisputed leader and their only hope for freedom and a fighting chance in an upcoming war if she won.

(Y/N) noticed that Hela's old throne looked no less intimidating in the light of the gloomy courtyard that it did inside the throne room of the dark tower. Even with it sitting on the stage. She wouldn't be surprised to find out if the thing fed on fear.

Nevertheless (Y/N) took her place and sat stoically on Hela's throne and signalled for everyone to take their places. Echo went stand by her side but was shooed away by the monsters. Echo gave (Y/N) a hurt and confused look but otherwise said nothing.
