Twenty Seven

<Sean POV>

'When will I ever be enough for you, Sean?' Kaycee screamed.

I snapped my head at her, my eyes ready to pop out of their sockets. Did she really think she was not enough for me?

'You are enough for me, Kayc. That's why I don't want to lose you' I spoke as calmly as possibly.

'Stop lying to me Sean. If I was enough for you then you wouldn't have went on a date with Tate. You wouldn't have chose her over me' She shouted.

'Kayc, it's not like that'

'Then what's it like Sean?' She questioned me angrily.

'She's my girlfriend, Kayc. I need to spend time with her too. I can't waste all my time with you' I said, but covered my mouth as soon as the words left. Waste.

'So you think that you're wasting your time when you're with me. Wow' she replied sarcastically.

'Kayc, I didn't mean that'

'You say that you spend all your time with me, but lately for the past 2 weeks or so, you haven't texted me or called me and whenever I ask to hang out with you, you just reject me,Sean. Is that really your idea of spending time with me?' she gritted.

'No Kayc...' I whispered lowly.

'Then tell me Sean... do you really think that I'm a waste of your time?' She asked me a bit more confidently.

'No, I don't think that' I replied.

'Oh my god, stop lying' she groaned bitterly, shaking her head in frustration.

'What do you want me to tell you, Kayc? If you want me to tell you that you're a waste of time, then I will. But you asked me a question and I replied and now you're accusing me of lying' I told her as anger started to replace sympathy.

'I want you to reply honestly, I know when your lying to me Sean' she snapped back.

'I've never thought that being with you was a waste of my time. But this is. I'm not going to waste my time trying to comfort you when all you will do is shut me down.' I huffed. Silence. I looked over at her as casually as possible.

Her eyes were shut tight as tears continued to fall, her knees were brought to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them as she shook slightly. 

'Kaycee, I didn't mean that-' I tried to reason, bringing her into my embrace.

'No, get away from me, Sean. Stop wasting your time on me' Kaycee screamed pushing me away. 'You meant everything to me, Sean. But you clearly don't feel the same cause if you did you wouldn't throw nearly 10 years worth of friendship away for a grilfriend'.

I stayed glue to my spot, my face blank, no words. Throwing away 10 years worth of friendship. Without even thinking, I stood up before leaving her room and her house. I ignored all the weird looks I received from her family as I got into my car and banged the steering wheel.

I reached for my phone in my pocket as I searched through the messages on my phone to distract me. 

(5) missed calls from Tate💞

Pressing onto her name and then onto the call icon, I rang Tate up as I pressed the loud speaker button and started to drive. (Ps, don't ever do this irl. If you're calling, then make sure you stop driving first. I'm just doing this for the purpose of this story)

-Hey Seanie

-Hi Tate, how are you?

 -The same old same, you know.

-Yeah, I'm really sorry about cancelling yesterday's plans. It wasn't fair on you.

-But was it worth it?

-If I'm going to be honest with you, then no. We got into an arguement, so I could have technically still have stayed over yesterday. It probably wouldn't have changed the outcome.

-so wanna hang out today?

- Sorry, but I'm really just not in the mood to do much today.

-You can come over or I'll come over and we can just watch movies or something. You know, something to get your mind of Kaycee.

-Yeah... that'd be cool. Come over whenever.

- Coolio, I'll be over in an hour, I just finished with a class and I'm exhausted.

-who's class was it?

- Oh it was Marguerrite Derrick's class. It was my first one of her classes ever and it was so much fun.

- That's cool.

-Yup, but it was a surprise partner class, which kinda didn't work wonders for me, if you know what I mean.

- I bet you were still great though.

- Far from it.

- Lies... actually talking about partnership. You know that tour in France you told me about. Well thinking about it, I think I...
