I went up to my room where I sat with Isadora for about an hour, leaving Riley and Lucas to talk by the fireplace "hey kiddies we're watching a movie downstairs" a guy I assume is from college knocked on the door. He was tall, dark brown hair and a smouldering look on his face, a name tag that read 'Josh'

I rolled my eyes to Isadora, knowing she knows I hate being called a kid "wanna go see what it is?" I ask her to which she nods, pushing herself up from the bed. We slowly made our way out of the bedroom together, down the stairs and over to the living room where many couches and armchairs lined the room

"Okay guys we've decided to watch the notebook" another college guy spoke up, holding the DVD in his hand admiring it. "Oh wait he's kinda cute" Isadora whispered making me chuckle. My eyes landed on Lucas who was talking in the corner to that josh guy from before

Isadora and I sat on one of the couches near them, seeing Riley next to Farkle across the room snuggling up together. We made small talk her and there until the movie started, not even realising the couch dip beside me until Isadora gave me a look to turn around

She focused her attention back to the tv before I turned around to see Lucas and his friend with a name tag saying 'Zay'. "Hey you left me earlier" he whispered a few minutes into the movie, his eyes cautious as to where everyone's attention was - only speaking once he was sure they were watching the tv

I shrugged lightly "Yea I left you to talk to Riley" I replied, my eyes meeting his for a brief second "I didn't wanna talk to Riley" he whispered back quietly "why? Did she tell you she has a boyfriend" I joke, turning my head to them across the room with her head on his shoulder

He did the same "No..she just isn't you" Lucas replied, his eyes were wide, a almost scared look on his face. I didn't reply for a few minutes, unsure of what to say "I'm just a kid Lucas" I sigh, using his college friends' words "you're different" he shrugged before finishing his sentence

"I can tell" he added. His friend from beside him whispered to him quickly before them both standing up and leaving the room. I gave Isadora a quick look, rolling my eyes at a smirk on her face "omg look" she whispered, her eyes darting to what's happening behind me

Lucas and Zay hand out blankets around the lodge, giving the thick fabric to every 2 or so students since it had gotten colder. They came back with a few more in their hands, placing them on the ground. Lucas unfolded one, gently chucking it over Isadora who was curled up beside me, her head leaning on the arm of the couch.

She smiled, pulling it closer to her to snuggle up. Him and Zay sat down beside us again, pulling a blanket over themselves too. We sat quietly for a few minutes watching the boring ass movie until I felt a hand touch mine

My head snapped to Lucas who had a small smile on his face, his head not leaving the tv. I laughed mentally, realising he got the blanket to hide that he was holding my hand. I contemplated pulling away for a few minutes however decided I quite liked the warm feeling holding mine.

We didn't talk for the rest of the movie, it wasn't until it had finished that I realised he still had his hand on mine. "Okay guys, tomorrow we have the nature walk so get a good night sleep don't stay up too late" Mr Matthews directed as he stood up in front of everyone

Isadora and I pushed ourselves up from the couch, I saw her smile awkwardly at Zay, him doing the same back. "Goodnight" I nod to them both before leaving with her back up the stairs. Riley met us there a few minutes later, gushing about how amazing the movie was

"Maya they guy you were talking to earlier is so boring..he seemed so uninterested" Riley pouted as she climbed into bed "maybe because he didn't wanna talk to you" Isadora snapped back, causing me to bite down on my lip to not laugh

Riley pulled a face "don't get your panties in a twist! I was just helping maya out" she smirked.
