"Mama!" Shiro ran to his mother's leg who was hanging the laundry. "Mama! Miss Kanagi gave me chocos!" He exclaimed happily, showing her a few candies.

"You've been getting a lot of chocos lately." (Y/N) chuckled, tying her hair to the side and getting down into his height and petting his head. "Have you been good lately, my little Shiro?"

Shiro nodded with a soft smile. "Ah, right! Mama, that old man with the face thingy is back again!" He said, pointing to the house and (Y/N) had a panicked look as she picked up the five year old boy and hurried inside.

(Y/N) entered the house, panting for air. "Oh my- Mich-... High Priest!" She exclaimed, catching her breath. "I'm so sorry for making you wait! I did not know that you were coming today!"

"It's okay." He said calmly, placing the cup of tea on the table. "I just happened to pass by and I decided to visit. After the calamity five years ago, I have been quite busy and could not visit you often. Are you faring well, (Y/N)?" He asked as (Y/N) sat on the chair in front of him, placing Shiro on his lap. [Those are some expensive words. 'Are you fairing well' sorry I'm to broke to understand]

"Oh, I'm doing well, High Priest. Thank you for your concern." She said, giving the little boy a cookie.

"I have told you many times to not call me by my title." He sighs, taking something from his robe and handing it to the little boy. "We are family, there is no need for formalities."

"Oh, no, no. It's alright. You are still the high priest." (Y/N) shook her head.

"Why do you have that thing in your face, priest? You look weird." Shiro suddenly asked and (Y/N) had to clamp his mouth.

"I-I'M SORRY! SHIRO IS STILL FIVE AND WAS NOT WATCHING HIS WORDS! PLEASE FORGIVE HIM!" (Y/N) panicked as she started to spout out apologies.

"It's alright." The high priest said. "Shiro, I have told you many times to please call me uncle. You call Yoriichi uncle, so why not me?" He asked, a little bit of disappointment in his voice.

"Uncle Yoriichi is very cool! He's a guardian in the Divine Lands that only those with a God's blood can enter and those with a high standing! He's waaay cooler than you, old man Michikatsu!" He huffed, looking to the side while puffing out his cheeks.

"Don't be like that, Shiro." (Y/N) scolded lightly, poking his cheek.

"It's alright..." Mihickatsu seemed defeated with the mere words of a child. "I kinda... guess..." he sighs, taking a bag and setting it on the table. "And here. The king wanted me to give you your medicine."

"Oh, thank you." (Y/N) smiled, taking the bag. "You and the king are always so generous, helping out your people and all... can you say thanks to him for me?" Michikatsu nodded as he stood up and said his goodbye.

When he was gone, the two went back to the backyard and saw that the sun was already setting. "My, how long have we been in there..." (Y/N) sighs, taking a blanket from the basket and hanging it. "Hmm..." She looked around. "Shiro, can you go get the clips?"

"Okay!" He cheered with a smile as (Y/N) returned to fixing the blanket. "Here!" (Y/N) gave him a smile as she secured the blanket and moved on. The two of them didn't finish until the stars were out.

The twinkling of stars in the sky mesmerized the pair of mother and son as they stared in the sky. Shiro watched as a shooting star passed by and he watched with a solemn look. "Mama... how come I don't have a papa?" He looked down, wiping his tears away. "Everyone in the town has met theirs at least once... how come I still haven't met mine?"

(Y/N) felt her heart shatter as she stared at her son. "I'm sorry, Shiro..." She looked down, facing the dirt below. "Mama... mama can't remember your papa... I'm sorry I can't give you a normal family..."
