The room was going to burst with questions, pouring out of everyone's mouths at a rapid rate, especially Yings. Jumbles of words caught at the tail ends was all Boboiboy could hear. Something about a brother, something about telling.
"Guys, one by one! I can't hear anything!" Boboiboy pinched the bridge of his nose, exasperated.
"Me first!" Gopal immediately cut in. "You're telling me you had a twin brother this whole time and never said anything?!"
"Uhhh, yeah," Boboiboy replied, a little embarrassed that he had no better answer. "I'm telling you now, though. That counts for something, right?"
Just as Gopal opened his mouth to no doubt say something very emotionally charged and loud, Ying stole his speaking room. "No wonder he looks just like you! Just, crazy! And evil!"
Yaya frowned. "Ying, don't be like that! But I have to agree somewhat. He looks like... a... how do I put this... like a reflection of you. But... off."
"I feel like I'm looking at the same person twice, but one copy is wrong," Fang agreed, saying his piece.
"Wow~..." Reverse piped up, a smile able to be heard in his voice, and the room immediately went dead quiet. "Aren't you happy to find out we're the same person, Boboiboy?"
Boboiboy couldn't help but laugh at that, his hands coming up to cover his mouth. It echoed.
The room's slowly building atmosphere had been completely crushed so easily by Reverse. Boboiboy gulped dryly. He opened his mouth to try to get the conversation going again, but then Gopal did the job for him.
"So... Murderer boboiboy and not-murderer boboiboy are twins. What!" The indian boy said, loudly.
Reverse let that sentence marinate for just a moment, before thinning his eyes and raising the syringe in his hand to make sure it was visible to everyone. He had his thumb on the press. He locked eyes with Gopal— emptied the whole thing onto the floor then took a single thundering step forwards.
Like clockwork all four of his friends immediately shuffled backwards, like rabbits scattering from where the wolf was laying down his paws.
The wolf smiled at the sight of the rabbits dispersing from him, his cat-like eyes curling into slits, baring his teeth in a mockery of a smile. It was like something from a horror flick.
Boboiboy's heart almost stopped. But he pushed away that feeling. "Reverse!" Boboiboy called, voice initially weak, "Stop scaring my friends." That last sentence succeeded at sounding more cheerful.
Reverse didn't say anything. A few seconds passed and Boboiboy scrambled to continue his words."So, this is Yaya, Ying, Gopal, then Fang!" Boboiboy tried instead for an introduction.
Now, Reverse had a thing. When he walked into a room and saw a new face, the first thing he did was assess. Stare. Look. Analyse. From the amount of teeth a person was baring and from the amount of spit they put into their words, Reverse could piece together immediately how much frustration, joy, anger or sadness that person was feeling.
He did all this fast. He caught the quirk or the pulling of an eyebrow or the edge of a mouth. He saw this, made a profile in his head, then made a judgement. Oftentimes, it was verbal, and it was brutal.
So that was what Reverse did. A judgement of Boboiboy's friends, verbally, and brutally.
"You need to stop letting these bags of shit follow you around." Reverse said, very simply, like he was just stating a normal fact from a textbook. His inflection was entirely flat.
Again a couple awkward seconds dragged on, not a single one of his friends was sure how to respond to a flat out insult, by Boboiboy's twin brother no less. But Fang tried. "Bags of shit?" He asked, tone dangerous.
