"Where..?" Jennie opened her eyes and found herself in the high sorcerer's chamber. "How did I get here?" She felt a sting on her neck and quickly touched it. "Can't be. Is it.." She stood up and ran towards the window and looked at her reflection. "It's his bite." The points suddenly faded and her skin was back to normal. "What the heck?"

"Jennie. You're awake." She turned around and saw the high sorcerer. "Taehyung brought you here. He looked really worried."

"Worried?! He literally raped me! I thought he was my friend.. I trusted him and look at what he did to me! I should've known."

"I think you should talk to him. He didn't mean all of these to happen. Give him a chance to explain."

"Tch. Whatever his reason is, I'm never gonna listen to it. I'm never trusting him again." He sighed and nodded.

"You know? Taehyung once became like that when he was a young teen. A student insulted his parents in front of him. They also made fun of him and when he had too much, he felt the same anger and gave those students a lesson. He almost killed them but good thing the others stopped him. Taehyung wanted to forget about it and wanted to control his emotions since that day. But based on what happened a while ago... He still couldn't."

"Why are you even telling me this shit? I don't care about his life anymore. I don't care about what he feels."

"It depends on you if you want to forgive him or not. But I'm giving you a very important advice, Jennie. Once you lose your light, you lose yourself."

The clock suddenly striked two and the door behind the pendulum opened. "I've seen that happen before. What is that place?"

"Ah.. It's the Mirror Falls's resting place. It looks like a garden but it's just an illusion. Haven't I told you about that place?" Jennie shook her head. "I'm sorry about that. The Mirror Falls shows you who you really are. Your reflection will become someone you are deep inside. Did you go in there?"

"Once. But I haven't seen my reflection. There was only a creature trying to chase me. I thought everything was a dream. It's actually true?"

"It's how it works. The falls will make it seem like a dream when it's really not." The time when the creature chased her flashbacked to her. "Don't worry. It doesn't really affect you physically." Jennie nodded and looked outside. "You should take a rest. I'll be staying in Mr. Kim Yoonjung's room while you're still here."

"I'm sorry for bothering you. I'll go to school tomorrow." He nodded and bid goodbye. Jennie lied on the bed and closed her eyes. Once I lose my light, I lose myself. What did that mean? She shook it off and went to sleep.

Morning came and Jennie ran to her first class. Unfortunately for her, she bumped into someone she didn't want to see. "Jen.. You're awake."

"Why? You want me dead? Because I don't like you back? What kind of selfishness is that?"

"Jennie, not here."

"Are you embarrassed?" She walked closer to him. "Wait til I reveal your big secret to the whole school. I'll humiliate you in front of everyone."

"N-no.. You won't do that."

"Watch me. Yah! Everyone!" She shouted, earning everyone's attention. "You all thought he is all scary?! Ani. He's nothing but a good for nothing coward! What a big pretender, isn't he?"

"Jennie."

"Why?! You're scared?" He held her hand but she yanked it off and pushed him. "I don't care about you feel anymore. You messed with me Taehyung. I'm no longer someone who keeps your secrets."

"Jennie don't do this."

"Why not? You're just some dummy who kept hiding the truth about his self because you're scared that these people will bully you to death. You're not and will never be as tough as your parents. A big fake."

"Jennie stop!"

"Ani. I'll make you feel so bad for what you did."

"Do you think I'm still not feeling really bad for what I did?! For what you did?! Jennie I'm fucking hurting right now because of what YOU did! Do you think I don't feel that much pain that you still had to tell everyone?! I'm dying inside because of everything!!" He shouted, his tears streaming down his face. "So please stop.."

"So it's all my fault? What do you want me to do?! Force myself to love you?! I won't consider my feelings and just consider yours?! This is the first time I'm feeling something different and amazing towards someone but you just had to make it complicated! I can't just love you!"

"Why?! What's wrong with me?! Am I not good enough for you?!"

"There is nothing wrong with you!! My heart chose him and not you! But you just had to be so selfish! Just understand me and my decisions! Do you think this is easy for me?!"

"I did everything for you.. Why do you only see him? I was the one with you when you needed help."

"So you did all that to win me?! See how much of a selfish person you are? You just make me hate you even more!"

"I did that because I don't want you getting hurt! I care about you a lot Jennie!! But it seems like you never really saw me even as friend." She was about to protest but Taehyung spoke again. "I don't care if you tell everyone about my secret. What hurt me the most was the fact that you only see my mistakes and not the things I did for you. Don't worry. I'll stay away from you from now on. You hate me, right? Be happy with him."

He walked away leaving her speechless on her spot. For some reason, her tears formed in her eyes. "I... I-I don't understand. This was supposed to make me feel better." She looked at Taehyung's back while he was walking away. "What's keeping me from letting you go?"

Okay.. I am really sorry for upsetting you guys. But I'll make it up to you in the following chapters because the secrets will be slowly revealed.. Where lives will be in danger.
