Classmates Days Part 2

Chapter 109: John, The Blooming Cherry Blossom Festival

                  Jodi went with Nina to see the Cherry Blossom Festival held here for a few days. As for me, I was there too. I went to get myself a snack as I heard a familiar, cheeky laugh.

"Emerald" I asked in a terse tone.

What was he doing here?! I thought he was busy doing something with the Battle Frontier! Instead, I see a small teenager sitting on a chair and having pocky for himself.

"I came here after Ruby and Sapphire were caught up in an argument about where to go for their date. They are so annoying" Emerald said as he continued to eat some pocky.

"What about Wally or Zinnia?" I asked him annoyed as I looked around.

I wonder if he planned this. No one here would be able to realize that this is the real Emerald from Pokémon Special. He can blend in here!

"Wally is busy with breaking through a cave. Zinnia is trying to contact Rayquaza again" Emerald answered.

"So, where does that leave you?" I asked him.

"My job. Watching you and teaching you stuff" Emerald answered as he hopped off the chair and proceeded to walk down the stairs to other food vendors, "What's going on here?"

"This is the Cherry Blossom Festival. A celebration of mainly popular Japanese's animes, foods, and video games. You came at the right time. No one will be able to recognize you as you, because people here will think you are a cosplayer!" I shouted at him in a low whisper.

Emerald nearly choked on his pocky sticks as I rolled my eyes at him.

"So, I can act like myself?! Perfect! I'll toss out Sceptile! We can have a Pokémon Battle!" Emerald shouted as he prepared to throw Sceptile out!

I quickly grab his hand and pulled the pokeball out of his hands. He then prepared to tackle me as I placed my hand on his head to push him down.

"You can't do that! People will think you are the real Emerald, but they still don't know about real Pokémon and your world being real! Got it?!" I whispered at him as he pouted at me.

"Fine. Just give back my Sceptile then. I won't do anything" Emerald said as he held his hand out.

I gave back his Sceptile as we walked towards the food stalls.

"John! Do you have your switch?!" Nina shouted through the crowd loudly as I groaned.

Emerald took my wallet as he prepared to buy something while Jodi and Nina marched towards me.

"Yeah, why?" I asked as I turned my attention to them.

"I wanted to see your Pokémon team!" she shouted at me in her usual loud voice.

"Fine but keep it down. You're annoying when your loud" I said as I took my switch out of a bag.

"I'll buy five boxes of pocky" Emerald said as he handed a fifty-dollar bill to the cashier!

I quickly pulled the bill out of his hands and then took a twenty dollar bill out to pay for it. I turned my attention back to Jodi and Nina, but they were staring at Emerald. Nina then screamed as Jodi sprayed hand sanitizer on her hands and then covered Nina's mouth.

"Why is he here?!" Jodi asked she used her other hand to gesture to Emerald who took the pocky boxes.

"He's bored" I simply replied as I rubbed my head in anguish.

Jodi then released Nina's mouth as she stopped screaming and stared at the tiny Trainer. She really didn't know what to think of him being here.

"Well, no one will believe he is the real Emerald at least" Nina said in a calm manner.
