Rita(RiRi)POV:

"Hi, RiRi!" Aaliyah's voice fills up the kitchen. She is so loud. I giggle and turn around and send her a small smile. "Hi, Liyah. How did you sleep?"

"Like a baby" she give me a big smile. I chuckle and pull out three plates for Liyah, August and I. "Liyah, you are a baby"

"Yeah, but than at the same time I'm not. I'm grown. I'll be turning three soon."

"Mmm and are you excited?" I put eggs, bacon, pancakes, blocks of pineapples, strawberries, blueberries on each plate. I hear her jumping up and down as I grab two glasses and one plastic cup for Liyah. "Very! I'm going to ask my daddy to throw a huge party for me and my friends and family. It's going to be the biggest party ever. I want water slides and clowns and Princesses and cake and candy and meat and- oo-oo sweetcorn. I love sweetcorn. I'm going to have a sleep over and after that a big breakfast party the next day!! Do you like it?"

My eyes widen and I put on the most happy face I could to match her excitement. "I love it. Am I invited?"

"Of-"

"Who's invited where?" August walks in the kitchen fully dressed, cutting off Liyah.

"Oh, I was just telling RiRi about my party."

His eyebrows furrow. "Oh? I didn't know there was going to be a party. Where is that party going to be? OK, don't answer that. Who's going to pay for that party?"

Liyah smiles and stuffs a piece of pancake in her mouth. "Of course you are daddy. Oh and you promised to take me shopping for my dress, for my party remember?"

"No Liyah. You know your mama plans your birthday parties. I thought you liked it."

"No I don't. Mommy makes me dress in this boring clothes and I have to meet all her friends and I have to sit a certain way and-and it's just boring. I don't like it daddy. She plans my birthdays like it's grown people's parties. Daddy she never let's me plan my own party. She plans her own party. Please don't invite mommy to my party daddy, please, please, please?"

I laugh. "I'm sure if you tell her you want to plan it she'll allow you. You so funny"

"Yeah-"

"No, mommy never let's me do what I want. This clothes I'm wearing right now... she would never."

August and I laugh at her. She sighs and continues eating. "Who bought that for you than?"

"Auntie Chandra did. Mommy will go loco if she sees me in this dress"

"Just let her plan her own party August. Daddy will take you to buy your dress, ok?"

She smiles and August looks at me. I smile too.

"No, not shopping. Can't you just take her? She seems to like you and spend time with you"

"No, August. Your daughter, so you go with her. I can come with y'all. She want to go with you"

He sighs and nod. Liyah and I both smile and eat our breakfast. "Rita?"

I look at, giving her my undivided attention. "Yeah?"

"Can you help me plan my birthday party? Its going to be fun"

I smile. "Only if you want me to"

"Yes I do. Thank you so much Rita."

"I like this one. What do you think daddy?" He looks up from his phone and shrugs. "It's too small. Go put it back and look for something longer"

"C'mon, August, really? We've tried on hundreds of dresses and it's either too short or too short or freaking too SHORT. What are you doing here? You supposed to be helping us" I snap at him. He sighs and nods. "Ight sorry. Let's do this." He puts away his phone and pays attention.

"Let me ask y'all a question. Why are we here when you don't know the theme, what kind of party she wants and all that stuff?"

I sit next to him. "Good point and I'm hungry. Maybe we should go and eat and than we'll start planning your party at home. How about that Lili?"

"But we already here, why don't we just buy" she murmurs. I smile. "Well only because we don't know what kind of party you want. As soon as you have tell us we'll come back here"

"Ok fine. Daddy can I have a chocolate milkshake and a burger and pizza and- and, what's that thing agai- butternut. Or and fries"

"As long as you going to finish all that"
