Sophie woke up by the smell of mallowmelt seeping through the gap in her door. In all honesty, the smell of her favorite food in the Elwin world just pushed down all the anxieties she had just the night before.

She ran to the bathroom to prepare for school that day. She hastily wore her level 6 uniform and the cape that goes around with it. Tacky, but she doesn't actually have any choice about it.

She took her things and ran down the stairs, greeting her parents with a kiss on the cheek.

"Mmhm! What's the occasion?" She asked. She was actually worried she can't act normal after everything that happened yesterday, but she can't disagree that mallowmelt in the morning perked her up.

"Well, there's none, but it depends. Take a look at the scroll on top of the table, that might be the occasion you're looking for." Edaline said as she sat down next to her. She took the scroll and immediately saw the Foxfire seal.

She gulped, loud enough for her parents to hear. Of course, that was exaggerated, but it kinda felt the same. With shaking hands, she removed the ribbon and slowly opened the scroll.

Miss Sophie Elizabeth Foster-Ruewen,

We are pleased to announce that you have been nominated as level 6's Muse. You will have a whole day orientation with the organizers of the event to further understand what role you will be playing with on our annual Valentine's day celebration. A new scroll will be handed to you today as you attend these orientations.

"I'm the muse?" Sophie said, both shock and disbelief showing in her face. Edaline scoot over to read the content of the scroll and smiled.

"Oh, sweetie! That's great." She hugged her while Sophie was still frozen in place. Grady looked up from the newspaper he was reading and took a peek at Sophie's scroll. He ruffled Sophie's hair and grinned like a proud father.

"Well, wait, what? How did I win? Isn't this supposed to be Biana?" She said, still not processing what she just read.

"Both of you are beautiful, of course, but the majority has chosen you. You need to start believing in yourself." Her mother said as she released her from the hug. Sophie blushed, still not used to attention especially when being complemented.

"Jeez, mom. You're embarassing me." She said as she took a piece of mallowmelt. "You should enjoy this event, kiddo. This is your first Valentines." Grady told her and she smiled back.

This morning kinda felt too surreal for her. Last night, she was just fretting over how she'll face her parents and her friends today, but things just blew off another thing and it kind of was okay with her.

She knows her parents will know about it soon, but, for now, she just wants to act like nothing's going to happen soon. Mr. Forkle told her so, she'll only need to think of it once it's there.

She subconsciously looked at her mother and saw the all-too-familiar grin on her face. "What is it, mom?" she asked.

Edaline was still looking at her with a smile and said "Nothing, I was just thinking how many will ask you to a dance on the aurenflare night."
