Chapter 5: Party

Emma POV

I woke up In Ryan's arms. Grabbing my phone I saw that we'd been asleep for about four hours. It was five in the afternoon and Kira should arrive in two hours. I snuggled back into Ryan's arms laying my hard into his neck. Ryan has this amazing smell he smelled like citrus and the woods mixed together.

Ryan had leaned closer to me in his sleep pulling me so I was practically laying on top of him. I couldn't help but giggle at him. Which woke him up.

"What's so funny?" He asked with his eyes adjusting to the light.

"Nothing." I responded. He didn't even care he just tightened his grip on me. I swear he thinks I'm a teddy bear.

" Hey Emma. I don't think you're two skinny or small. I love how you look. Don't listen to anyone who thinks otherwise." He said I nodded in response laying my head back into his chest.

"Let's get something to eat I'm hungry." I said. I was really hungry in fact I could eat a cow at the moment. We both got up and walked downstairs. Walking into the kitchen we saw the Luna sitting down at the counter going through mail.

"Hi mom." Ryan greeted giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Are you both hungry I can make you both my special grilled cheese. We both agreed to that saying thank you to the Luna.

We ate our food and sat on the couch together.

"Emma. You're going to marry me right?" Ryan looked nervous. When I thought about it I realized that I'm eight and that's a big question. But as I was thinking I came to the conclusion fairly quickly.

"Yes." I said. It's true like our parents said we were made for one another. I couldn't help but get a sick feeling of thinking about Ryan not being at my side.

His face lit up at my response and he pulled me closer. We just sat together in silence enjoying each other's company. Until the Luna said that Kira had arrived early. I hopped out of Ryan's lap and screamed as I ran up to Kira who was as also screaming. We hugged her each other tightly.

" Oh my goddess I can't believe your her Eeep!"I screamed.

" Me neither! How have you been! How's your new school! School back home is terrible without you." Kira screamed until the las part which she then pouted.

" I'm great. Schools pretty good I've made some friends though I wish you were their with me!" I say in a loud voice.

"Come on let's go to my room!" I squeal grabbing Kiras hand as we run to my room.

"Woah this place is huge way bigger than your last room!" Kira said in awe jumping into my bed.

" I know. The Luna said we can go shopping today. Just us girls." I say Kiras face goes into a full blown smile.

" I can't wait! Who's he." She asks pointing at Ryan who's carrying in Kira's bags.

"Oh this is my mate. Ryan." I say proudly walking up to him and wrapping my arms around his.

"You have a mate!" Kira screams. I nod my head.

Ryan ends up sitting on my bed with me as Kira shoots different questions at him to see what type of guy he is once she's satisfied with his answers she says he's good enough for me.

The Luna takes us to the mall at seven. Our mall closes at twelve giving us plenty of time to shop. We go into American eagle, the Vans store, and Hollister. Luna Audrey bought half the store for me and she also bought Kira clothes too making sure non of us felt left out.

I have to shop at older kids shops due to the fact I go to middle school. Everyone wears certain clothes and I hate standing out so to fit in I always wear what others do. I don't mind it though because I'm a sucker for scrunchies and I love Hollister jeans.

We finally finish shopping two hours later. I was ready to go home and see Ryan. We all get in the car and drive home singing along to Dua Lipa and we go.

When we arrive Ryan is already running outside to open my door. Grabbing my hand he helps me out and refuses to let me help him with the bags. After we bring all the clothes inside Kira helps me put them away in the my closet and dresser.

It doesn't take long to put everything away and in order once finished we head downstairs and go into the kitchen. I felt like eating something sweet and Kira agreed with me we went and pulled out the ice cream make each other our own bowls. I ran up stairs to Ryan's room asking him if he'd like some. Once I made Ryan a bowl we all went into the living room and watched cartoons till dinner time.

Ryan POV

Today's Emma's birthday. My mom took her and Kira our a while ago to get her nails done that way we'd have time to prepare for the party. We blew up all the pool floats and balloons. We turned on some music my mom said she liked and got all the snacks out for people to eat. The streamers and decorations were all covered in different types of glitter.

An hour after set up guest began to arrive. All the guys showed up. It wasn't a huge party but I knew that Emma would like it and the fact that she knew everyone their.

When Emma walked through the door her eyes grew big as she was shocked by everything and everyone she saw. She greeted all her guest and everyone was wishing her a happy birthday.

When she saw me she jumped into my arms saying thank you repeatedly. Once her eyes landed on the pool she ran upstairs and didn't come out until she came down in her bathing suit my mom must have gotten her. I wasn't happy with other guys seeing my mate in a bikini. But it's her birthday so I'll let it slide.

We all went in the pool for an hour and then we sang happy birthday and ate cake. Emma had gotten presents from everyone. Most of the boys gave her gift cards and cash but Artie had bought her a bunch of books that she was taken aback by.

"Oh my gosh you got me a collection of Shakespeare. Artie this is awesome!" She went to hug him but then remembered that he doesn't like to be touched. Instead she just said thank you.

Everyone left and it had become dark outside Kira had gone upstairs to change leaving Emma and I together.

"Now it's my turn to give you your birthday present." I said. I pulled out the locket from my pocket. It's an oval locket with a star filled with diamonds on the front. Inside was a picture of Emma and I. It was a picture my mother had taken when we were asleep.

She gasped as I pulled it out and clipped it around her neck. It was engraved with the day we first met.

" I love it Ryan it's gorgeous." She said pulling me into a hug before kissing my cheek.

We stayed like that just hugging one another for awhile until I noticed that Emma had fallen asleep. I picked her up gently trying my best not to wake her and walked her to my room and payed us down.
