"I haven't tasted food this good since I was a freshman" Aelia moaned as she shoved her fork in her mouth
"Are you saying I don't taste good?" I pouted, in the corner of my eye I notice a man started to choke when he walked past us. His eyes grew wide as he hurridely walked away.
"Shhhh, people are trying to eat" she smiled
"Maybe I should take you to the restroom and eat yo-"
"Luna! Stop with your unholy ways" Aelia laughed
"I can't help it, nothing about me is holy"
"Yeah you're right, but still" she playfully glared
"What are your plans after the break?" I questioned as I bit into my burger, the sun had already gone down and the dark sky crept in
"Exams are gonna be hardcore, I'm gonna be doing alot of studying for weeks... Will you be taking the exams?" she asked
"I'm not sure, I still don't know alot about human culture in this generation or ....maths.. But I really don't know if I'm gonna be allowed to" I said
"Well, did you ever go to...school in... You know.. Hell?"
"No, but there was alot of books, unfortunately not all were based on earth. There's books of Greek mythology and different religions. As a God, you have to learn every single thing on who you are, where you came from and how to continue your reigns" I said
"So basically you spent all your life studying different God's and powers" she said
"Yes, I studied how to blood bend and you studied how to cut open a frog" I smiled
"When you say it like that, it hurts" she chuckled
"We grew up with different lives, I spent thousands of years constantly practicing my powers. Unfortunately you haven't seen twenty years yet" I smiled
"Sometimes it all feels so surreal, I hope you'll tell me more about your life" she smiled sweetly as she finished her food
"I will, right on our journey to the thrift store" I smiled and dropped a couple hundred dollar bills on the table and quickly grabbed Aelia's hands, dragging her out the diner
"For someone who's family invented money, you sure don't know alot about how it works" she laughed
"Well... I never had a reason to spend money in the first place" I said.
Aelia nodded, I opened her door and she slid right into the seat mumbling a thank you. I went over to the drivers seat and started my car
"What exactly is a thrift store? I've heard stuff about it" I said
"It's a store with donated items, they sell them back and use the money to give to organizations" she said
"So it's people's old clothes?"
"That's all you got from my definition?" she chuckled
"Is it even hygienic to be putting on the clothes? Do they wash it-"
"Luna!"
"What!"
"I love you, but shut the fuck up" she giggled
"You know what, I just might" I smirked
"You know damn well you can't do that" she said, her eyes met mine and I smiled sweetly.
