MANDO AND AERYN walked side by side as they roamed around the town.

Of course, there was a lot of sand involved.

Aeryn couldn't help but notice that Mando seemed to be familiar with the town. It was like he knew every street they passed by and turn they made.

She just made sure of one thing; stay close to Mando. Aeryn figured that it would help him ease up with her presence. After all, Mando was reluctant with her tagging along.

"So, we're a married couple here?" Aeryn asked, watching Mando as they both walked.

Mando turned to look at Aeryn and met her deep violet eyes. It reminded him of something he discovered back in Sorgan.

Aeryn knew him.

Not the Mandalorian version of him but Din Djarin. She knew him as Din. Aeryn was her close friend back then and he, too, remembered that.

Walking with her, Mando couldn't help but wonder if it was Din that she was looking for. Aside from that, he wondered how she would react if she knew the truth that Mando, was in fact, Din Djarin.

But he knew those things were meant for another time.

"It helped us back at the hangar," Mando paused. "Maybe, it'd be helpful."

"Alright then, husband." Aeryn replied as she gave Mando a playful smile.

The pair, then, entered a cantina. It was not that crowded nor loud like any other cantinas. There were still customers, though.

Mando approached a bartender droid by the counter and Aeryn made sure to follow. The droid was slowly wiping the counter.

"Hey, droid." Mando called and caught the bartender droid's attention. "We're hunters. We're looking for some work."

"Unfortunately, the Bounty Guild no longer operates from Tatooine." the bartender droid replied.

"But we're not looking for Guild work." Aeryn was the one to speak this time.

"I am afraid that does not improve your situation. At least by my calculation."

"Think again, tin can." Toro Calican, a guild member wannabe, spoke from his booth near the counter.

The pair turned to look at the direction of the voice and saw Toro, sitting with both of his feet on the table. Something that Aeryn always hated to see.

He looked young. That, they were both sure of. Toro had a smug look on his face and sat on the booth like it was his property. What the pair didn't know was that that was just a confidence facade.

"If you're looking for work, have a seat, my friend. Name's Toro. Toro Calican." the man introduced himself.

Mando and Aeryn turned to look at each other's, both hesitating.

"Come on, relax." Toro stated.

"We'll be fine." Mando reassured Aeryn who was still skeptical and headed towards Toro's booth.

Aeryn followed behind.

Toro removed his feet from the table as the pair walked to him. Once they were seated, Toro placed a bounty puck on the table. The hologram activated.

"Picked up this bounty puck before I left the Mid-Rim." he paused. "Fennec Shand, an assassin. Heard she's been on the run ever since the New Republic put all her employers in lockdown." Toro explained, watching the pair's faces. Then he winked at Aeryn.

Oh, how much she hated that.

"I know the name." Mando spoke from beside Aeryn.

"Ya well, I followed this tracking fob here. Now the positional data suggests she'd headed out beyond the Dune Sea." Toro shrugged. "Should be an easy job."

"Well, good luck with that." Mando took Aeryn's left hand as he stood up. Aeryn was taken aback but she stood up as well, leaving the booth.

"Wait, wait, wait, hey, I thought you needed work." Toro called, stopping the pair.

Mando turned around to look at Toro. "How long you been with the Guild?"

"Long enough."

"Clearly not." Mando replied sternly. "Fennec Shand is an elite mercenary. She made her name killing for all the top crime syndicates, including the Hutts. If you go after her, you won't make it past sunrise."

With that, Mando continued to walk to the exit with Aeryn, still holding her hand.

"This is my first job." Toro followed the pair.

Mando stopped on his tracks, so as Aeryn. He let go of Aeryn's hand and turned to face the pleading man.

"You can keep the money, all of it. I just need this job to get into the Guild." Toro snorted. "I can't do it alone." he admitted, his confidence facade gone.

Mando glanced at Aeryn who was listening to the two of them talk. He, then, let out a sharp sigh.

"Meet us at hangar three-five in half an hour. Bring three speeder bikes," Mando told Toro as he happily listened. "And give me the tracking fob." Mando lifted his hand, asking for the fob.

Toro, then, smashed the tracking fob on the wall. Aeryn's eyebrows furrowed at his actions.

"Don't worry. Got it all memorized." Toro pointed to his head triumphantly and once again, winked at Aeryn.

"Half an hour." with that, Mando motioned for Aeryn to follow him and the pair both headed out of the cantina.

"Looks like you're both stuck with me now, pals." Toro called out to them but they both ignored him

"What an ass." Aeryn muttered under her breath as they both headed back to the hangar.

"He got on your nerves?" Mando asked, walking beside her.

"Very much." Aeryn answered, irritated. "I just don't fancy guys like him." she added, still pissed.

"Guess it's a good thing you married me."

"Oh, shut up." Aeryn replied, joking.
