Chapter 13

As we continued to walk in the sand, I held his forearm.

I didn't know why I did it, but it felt good.

We don't need any reasons to do the things we like. If it feels right, we do it.

On top of that, he didn't object also.

We started walking along the sea water and the waves just touched our feet.

"Come, I will take you to my favorite spot here." he said.

I just continued to walk along with him.

Then he showed me a rock which was being hit by waves till its bottom. It was almost some four feet above the ground.

"Don't tell me we are going to sit there." I said looking at him with my eyes wide open.

"We are and I swear you will love it." he said.

"Okay but you will help me to sit on it." I said.

He helped me sit on that rock and he sat next to me.

He climbed on it so easily as if it was something that he did every day.

"Wow it's wonderful!" I said.

I was able to have a better view of the sea and the waves.

We just sat there speaking nothing for I wonder how long.

It was such a comfortable silence!

"Vance, why did you bring me here?" I asked him since that question was bugging my mind.

He was in deep thoughts. His expressions told me that he was mentally absent.

"Vance?" I called him again.

"Yes. Sorry I was thinking something. Really sorry." he said.

Was he bored already?

"Why did you bring me here?" I repeated my question.

"I wanted us to have a walk so that the food we ate will be digested." he replied to which I rolled my eyes.

"You expect me to believe that?" I asked him with a straight face.

"Okay. I just wanted to spend some more quality time with you. I come here whenever I want to think something important. This place gives me good vibes. Everything is calm and soothing. Also, today is a full moon day and I love full moon." he said.

Indeed, it was a full moon day.

"You love full moon?" I asked him.

"Yes. You?" he asked me.

"Of course. Many things are dark in and around in our lives. We need to be like full moon which is a natural source of light to remove such darkness at night." I said.

His brown eyes were gleaming because of the moonlight as he looked at me.

"How do you relate things this way?" he asked.

"Are you making fun of it Mr. Muna?" I asked him tauntingly.

Obviously he was not making fun of me. I knew he was amused.

I had a little dance in my mind.

"Definitely not. It was a compliment." he said.

"Good. I don't tolerate bullies and certainly I am not the one who entertains bullying." I said.

"Who will bully you? You are like a wild tigress who is like ready to pounce anytime." he said smirking.

"I am." I said and winked at him.

He lifted his left eyebrow. His expression became dark.
