The next thing I knew, I was in the principal's office.

I sat in a chair in front of a big wooden desk.

The room was silent. Somewhat ghostly. A few pictures and awards hanged on a wall to the right of me, but were covered in dust. They probably haven't been cleaned in years.

Across from me sat the person I hated the most, our school's principal, on the phone with who I assumed was my mother.

"....yes. The other student resulted in being driven to an emergency room. The injuries aren't too bad, but I don't know what would have happened to her if we didn't pull (Y/N) off sooner..."

A tried my best not to smile. It served that brat Nayeon right. She deserved all of that shit I threw at her.

The principal glared at me every once and a while, but I didn't care. I've been wanting to do that to Nayeon for years now. Seeing her yelling and mocking Dahyun like that just made me finally snap.

"....yes. She will be served a two week suspension. Uh-huh....yes. Thank you."

With that the principal put the phone down and turned to me, her eyes having an evil look through her square glasses.

We sat in silence for a second, not saying a single word for a minute before she spoke up.

"Park (Y/N), we take this sort of stuff very seriously at our school. Last year you got into a total of five fights with the other students, cursed out two teachers, and now on your first day of senior year you injured a student?! This type of behaviour is unexceptable!" she yelled, a glare in her eyes.

I didn't say anything, and just stared at the ground silently.

"Do you have any idea how much you could have seriously injured Ms. Im?! Why on earth do you think it's ok to physically hurt somebody, let alone get them sent to the hospital?! Her parents are even going to sue us because of your irresponsible behaviour!"

Once again, I just sat in silence until she finally stopped her shouting.

"You will be given a two week suspension, and then after you returned to school you will have two weeks of detention! And that's final!"

"..."

Eventually she stopped her lecturing and yelling at me and went silent just like I did.

"Well, Ms. Park? Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

During the time she spent yelling at me, only one thing was on my mind. I didn't really have anything else to say, so...

I sat up and looked at the principal.

"....is Dahyun okay?" I asked, with cation.

"Ms. Kim? She's perfectly fine. In fact, she went home after the incident. I contacted her parents to let them know about the situation—"

I slammed my fist into the table.

"What I meant was, was she okay after Nayeon and her group of friends freaking publicly harassed her?!" I exclaimed. "Did you ever think about why I did that to Nayeon, huh?!"

The principal looked at me with shock, which then turned to anger.

"Ms. Park, all that mattered was that you injured a student. At the end of the day, whatever Nayeon did doesn't matter. I hope that you will learn from this experience to never do this again. Understood?" she said, sternly.

I blinked in frustration, but then sat back down with my head held down. What the hell was wrong with this lady?

"Whatever.." I mumbled.

The principal sighed, and continued:

"I am very disappointed in you, Ms. Park. If I ever hear about you doing something like this again, don't expect to be graduating this year. You are dismissed."

That day I got home to my mother screaming and cursing at me for what I did. I hardly listened to her, just like when I was in the principal's office.

It was the same thing as last time, my mother would go on and on about how I wasn't a good student and saying that she would kick me out if I acted like this again. I then discovered later that the reason she was so angry was because Nayeon's parents sued us of $300. We were already in a very poor situation, so us losing that money didn't help at all.

After my mother screamed at me for about an hour, she sent me to my room, which I didn't mind at all. I wanted to get far away from everybody. Very far.

I slammed my bedroom door and took of my stupid uniform, throwing it at a wall as hard as I could. I was so frustrated with myself at that I just wanted to burn that god damn uniform.

My hands were shaking and my vision was starting to blur up. I wasn't crying because I was upset, but because I was so tired of everybody getting mad at me for no reason. I stood up for Dahyun and now everybody hated me. My mother, the principal, Nayeon and her bratty friends, they all hated me. I wouldn't be surprised if Dahyun hated me too.

I wiped away my tears and got dressed into some sweatpants and an over sized T-shirt, then flopped on my bed to fall asleep.

I always found that simply sleeping was a good way to forget about everything. I just liked to escape from reality and into the land of dreams to forget about my life troubles.

I stared at my bedroom ceiling as I laid on my bed, thinking about everything that happened that day. About how I almost broke Nayeon, about me seeing Dahyun cry for the first time...

Then I closed my eyes and eventually drifted off into the dream realm.
