Almost nobody knew how the great Servais Le Roy gained fame and glory. And if they do know, they can't prove it. Servais didn't take the long way to fame. Instead, he decided to "Take it" from his mentor, Jhon. Almost nobody knew how he turned from a simple card tricks performer to a famous wizard, and almost nobody knew why did the stage collapse on poor Jhon. Nobody but Servais himself.
When he's asked about it, he'd say how sad he is that Jhon died, how great he was, and how horrible this accident was. Yet, deep inside, he knew he's lying. He doesn't regret his past actions. He doesn't regret sabotaging the stage. He doesn't regret killing Jhon. He spits more lies than Freddy, Kreacher and Emily combined, and unlike some people in the mansion, he got there just for the money and nothing else. Not revenge, not self-punishment, just the money.

"Mr. Le Roy!" Kurt Frank, the "Explorer", skipped as he called the magician's name. Servais sighed in annoyance as he stopped and turned to look at the young man. "What do you want, Kurt?" Servais asked. "There's a new hunter, Mr. Le Roy!" Kurt said in a surprisingly happy voice. "And we're gonna be the first to match against them."
"We?" Servais asked.
"You, me, William and Freddy." Kurt replied.
Oh, lord. Servais knew this match is gonna go bad. He hates William, Kurt is annoying, and Freddy is a coward. Who picked this team?! [A/N: I love all these characters. I hate Servais, but I'm trying to write from his point of view. It's hard.]
"Well, does anyone knows anything about the new guy?" Servais replied.
"Well, I know that it's a guy and that he's undead." Kurt said.
"Just like most of the fucking hunters, Kurt." Servais sighed. "This isn't helpful."
"Freddy also said that he looks familiar, but can't tell why." Kurt said. "He said he was a famous guy."
"Famous in what field?" Servais asked.
"Magic, I think." Kurt replied, making time freeze for Servais. "Do you think you know him?"
"W-well..." Servais said, trying to convince himself that it doesn't necessarily mean that... No... That CAN'T be HIM, right? Right??
"Well...?" Kurt waited for the rest of the sentence.
"Well, I don't know ALL the dead magicians, Kurt." Servais said, trying not to stutter.
"Then why are you acting so weird?" Kurt asked.
"I'm acting weird?!" Servais asked. "Kurt, have you taken your medicines today?"
Of course, he'd use Kurt's mental illness as a "No, you" technique. He always does it. Kurt doesn't seem to realize it, or even mind it, but the others do.
Before Kurt could answer, Servais ran to his room.
Kurt just stood there, trying to think about a reason for Servais's strange behavior, and at the same time trying to remember if he took his medicines (Which he did).

"Servais!" John said as he parted ways from a crowd of cheering children and tired parents. His smile shined brighter than his white beard, and his eyes were filled with joy. "You did great with the cards. I've never seen that trick you did."
"What can I say?" Servais said to his teacher. "The cards are money."
"Magic is not about the money, Servais," Jhon said, giving him a sad look. "I've told you many times, Servais. Magic is about the joy you bring."
