She scrolled through her phones camera roll. She had about 5 pictures of her and her dad in total, all taken over a year ago or more. Every few days Ida would look through them, analyzing Evans face in each one. Doing so she hoped to find an indication of when he became so distant. So many questions were left unanswered on the day he left his only daughter.
"I'm off," she told her mom before grabbing her heavy bag, packed with books she doesn't intend on opening. Mom said nothing. It was hard to even look at her and Ida was for once glad to go to school. There, she could finally forget everything for a few hours.
The weather was very cold this morning. She covered her mouth and nose with the thick scarf around her neck. Sana, Chris, Eva and Noora were behind the schools gate, waiting for Vilde and Ida.
"Hey girls" Ida said. Eva was the first to hug her, before giving her a look that said 'are you ok?'. She nodded her head reasuringly.
"Why is Vilde with the penetrators?" Sana pointed at the black Porshe, out of which three people exited - William, Christoffer and Vilde. All of the girls did their best not to cringe, as the trio approached them.
Chris is looking at me. And he's coming over here, too. I hope Eva won't be too mean to him this time...
"Hello!" Vilde pranced after hugging each one of the girls. "You girls know William and Christoffer, right? Guys this is Sana, Eva, Chris, Noora and-"
"Ida, yeah?" Chris interrupted the introduction. He didn't need to ask, he remembered her name very well.
"Umm right," Ida did her best to seem cool and unbothered, and she did on the outside. On the inside, she was praying for this encounter to meet it's end as fast as possible. To her, it was tough to even look into this boy's eyes. He noticed it too, but din't understand it. Her gaze was on his shirt, then hands, then shoulder, anywhere but his face. He found it very annoying, since he is the type of guy that loves eye contact and gets some kind of inappropriate pleasure from it. But this time things didn't go his way.
"I hope i didn't hurt you yesterday, you guys just ran off" he smiled widely and seemed to be genuenly happy to see Ida.
"It's no big deal-" Ida waved her hand but was interrupted.
"Actually you did hurt her. She has a massive bruise on her stomach because of you." Eva rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"That can't be, i barely pushed you" he said defensively. His smile started dissapearing and not before long, his face turned serious.
"It's not massive," Ida shook her head, making Chris raise his eyebrow. He didn't think he'd actually hurt her. He just thought Eva was overreacting because she held a grudge against him. He bit his lip unsurely, and noticed as Ida couldn't help but stare at them. He knew girls loved it when he bit his lip, even though most of the time he did it unconsiously.
"Chris! Baby!" A tall brunette threw herself onto the boy very eagerly. "Hey baby" he replied, giving her a sloppy kiss, that lasted long enough to make everyone uncomfortable.
"Bye girls.. Vilde" William winked before walking away. "Bye William!" She said almost desperately.
"Catch you later, Ida" Christoffer said flitratiously, whilst his arm was still very much around his girlfriends shoulders.
They walked away and the girls couldn't hold in their laughter.
"Who does he think he is?" Ida said with a disguisted look on her face. She started slowly resenting Chris after this little guesture. Ida didn't want to admit it to herself, but deep down she was waiting for him to mess up, so she could have a valid reason to dislike him. It was easier that way. Easier than confronting her feelings.
"I think you were right, Eva"she said.
"Right about what?" Noora asked.
"That Chris is... an utter idiot and playboy" Eva seemed to be choosing her words.
"That he is. Now let's go to class bitches" Sana lead the way.
"And that poor girl. She really has no self respect..." Eva scoffed looking at Chris and his girlfriend as they walked away.

Chris skipped 3 classes in total that day. He didn't think he was in trouble, since his mother usually covered for him. She wasn't the type of woman to just let her son run wild and ruin his life. Mrs Schistad trully tried her best to set her son on a right path. But Christoffer was untameable. He was wild, full of spirit and life. And when it came to school, he couldn't care lesser. So his mother found it best to just cover for him, so that he wouldn't get into further, unnescesairy trouble.
"Hey sport,"
"Hey mr Dahl", Chris carelessly threw his backpack on the ground upon entering his house. Mom will take care of that.
"You don't need to call me mr Dahl" Evan snickered. They've been living together for seven months and this boy was still calling him mr Dahl. And he didn't even say it out of respect. Chris rarely respected anybody. He solely called him that because Evan was a stranger to him. No matter how much his mother loved him. Evan could never replace his father.
"Whatever you say, mr Dahl" he said harshly, but ironically the both of them ended up laughing at his snarky remark. Living with a stranger prooved better than it sounded. It certainly helps when you live in a three story house, like he did. Also, Chris spent the majority of his time out with friends anyway. His house was reserved mostly just for eating and sleeping.
He did his night routine which consisted of taking off everything but his boxers & crawling into bed with his cell and laptop. He could never, for the life of him, admit that he was lonely. He has thought about it, coming to the conclusion that if you're lonely, it means you're weak. And that messed with his inferiority complex. He held high opinions of himself. He defined himself by his popularity, by how much girls he got into bed with, by how good he looked and by the cars he drove. He always payed attention to his image, which to him ment wearing expensive watches and branded clothes. In short, Chris could fit all of his self worth and self respect in a wallet. Never seeing anything wrong with that.
"Sweetie" his mother knocked on his door.
"Come in," he said with a smile on his face "hey mum."
"What classes did you skip today?" She said, slouching on the next to him.
"Umm... spanish... math and chem"
"..alright. At least you came to school" she joked.
"Mum?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you know this girl from Nissen... Ida?she's a first year, i think. I don't exactly know her last name " he scratched the back of his head.
As he said that, mrs Schistads eyes darkened.
"Yeah, i might. There's a lot of students at Nissen, i don't know them all at the top of my head," she smiled faintly. Chris furrowed his eyebrows.
"Why do you ask?" She clears her throat.
"I just never saw her at school before. Yesterday i kind of pushed her totally on accident, and i didn't get the chance to say sorry properly. That's all." He and his mom were pretty open and could talk about anything. And although Chris was sorry for hurting Ida, he didn't exactly ask about her so he could apologize. Besides, he already said sorry. He wanted to get to know her better and, bluntly put, he considered sleeping with her.The fact that he had never seen a girl like her at school was shocking to say the least. He knew everyone & everyone knew him, so this was unusual. She also seemed so painfully uninterested in everything, that it annoyed him. He didn't know ehat her deal was.
Christoffer went to sleep that night, hoping that tomorrow he'll get Ida to talk to him.
