"Queen? Elsa, what are you talking about? What is wrong?"

"Yes, I was going to be Queen. My coronation is in two weeks." It was all she could say for a moment, "I wanted to invite you and have you meet everybody. Anna was going to be so excited to meet you. You two would have so much in common, you would have been best friends before... but now she is gone." Elsa cried harder than she had ever before.

Jack reached down and held her as she cried, not knowing what else to do.

"Tell me what happened here, Jack." Elsa finally asked through her tears.

"I don't really know. I didn't stick around for most of it. It all started after one of the princesses left. People started turning up brutally slaughtered or disappeared entirely. The other princess handled it as best as she could, but was killed one night. After the funeral everyone just fell dead. No one knew why, which is why they called this place cursed. However there are some like me who know the myth of Bloody Mary, and the cursed kingdom of Arendelle." Jack looked at Elsa, he really looked at her and vaguely recognized her. "You... really are her aren't you, you're that Princess Elsa." Jack gave her a big hug, "I'm so sorry Elsa, I didn't know."

They sat there while Elsa cried until she came up with a thought, "North!"

"What?"

"Santa Claus, he helped me. He sent me into the future to find you. He can send me back and I can change history. I can stop Anna from dying."

"Even if North could help us, there is no way to into his workshop, trust me I tried. Phil always gets me at the last second."

"He gave me this," Elsa wiped away her tears, and pulled the marble necklace out from around her neck to show to Jack.

"What is it?"

"It's our ticket to get passed Phil." Elsa smiled and sniffled.

North was toiling joyfully over his workbench; he was working over a block of ice and was sculpting magnificent things. He laughed wondrously at his machinations floating above his head. Suddenly a portal of swirling energy opened in his office. When North looked up from his work toward the portal, he gave a hardy laugh as only North could. There was only one person in the world that could teleport to his office. He had awaited her arrival, but just in case things went sour he kept his swords next to his work desk.

His smile turned into a frown and then into a snarl that could melt the courageous hearts of even the bravest warriors when he saw tears coming from Elsa's face and a boy in a blue hoodie, both standing in his office between his desk and the door.

"Jack, I knew you were not to be trusted, guards!" North pulled his sabre from its sheathe, and pulled Elsa behind him, like a Lion bearing his teeth and defending a cub.

"No, wait, North. You don't understand!" Jack stuttered, but with one sweeping motion two furry Yeti's burst in the door and grabbed the struggling winter spirit.

"Stop!" Elsa yelled and threw out her arm sending a wave of ice at the yeti's and Jack that froze them in place beneath a frozen shell.

"Oh, hi Phil," Jack managed to get out from underneath the Ice. The yeti named Phil growled at him.

"North, Jack has done nothing wrong. Just listen." Elsa walked over to Jack and as she held out her hand to him, the ice ebbed and shrunk. He grabbed her hand as she helped him down from ice.

"I don't remember teaching you to melt ice. I am impressed." Jack smiled, relieved to be free from his prison.

"How do you think I cleaned up after all our snowball fights," Elsa tried to smile but she couldn't hide the pain Jack could see in her eyes.
