Everything was new to him.
And no, not in a good way.
The wolf's stomach burned as he tried to sit up. He rubbed his stomach, felt the same weird "stitches" as well. The red marks were faint. He groaned.
Where was he?
Where was his trusty buddy, Olive..?
He turned his head back and forth.
'I had read about these places before..what were they called?'
His thoughts cut off, replacing each other quickly.
Wait, Olive was here too, wasn't she?
She might be here too, she might be because she was sick too. Yeah!
Solid thoughts began to form, keeping him calm.
All he had to do was find her, right?
He just had to figure out how to get out this damn bed.
The ideas coming together in his brain was interrupted by a delicate knocking on the door.
"H-hello? Nurse here."
Kedamono cleared his sore throat.
"..Come in.."
A short female entered, her hand still on the doorknob. She seemed anxious.
Kedamono had bandages on his face, but could still partly sniff her out. She smelled of kiwis and passion fruit, as if she just came back from a market.
She waved at him, closing the door. She then, covered her mouth, seeing as he couldn't exactly "see" her waving.
Kedamono laughed, sounding rather raspy.
"Don't worry, I can 'see' you just fine."
She sighed in relief.
"O-oh, thank you. Pardon me."
He waited for her to talk.
"I don't know if you remember me, b-but I'm your nurse. My name is Gridette, and you're in the Inco Paralysis section of the hospital. You passed out, before I could say anything then, so I had to put you on more medication."
So that's where he was. A hospital. He wondered why he couldn't think of the name of it before.
"Ah."
She went to the machine next to him, and starting pressing buttons, typing things on it.
"How is your body? Are you still in pain?"
Kedamono wanted to nod, but didn't want to make things harder for her. She seemed like a nice, novice nurse.
"No, just headaches."
"Oh, then, I can go get something prescribed for that, if you wish."
"N-No thanks. Just water is fine."
Gridette looked uneasy, but did as he asked, about to go get him a glass of water.
"Wait!", he called out.
She turned back to face him.
"Hm?"
"When I first came here... was anyone else with me?"
The nurse thought hard about it.
"Why, yes there was. Um, I think a girl with dark purple hair-"
"Could you tell me where she is?"
"...The fourth floor, 5 floors below us."
"Thank you."
