KARTIK'S POV

"D-D-Doggy", I said scared and took no further step, maintaining a reasonable distance from that drooling creature!

I looked at that dog. It was looking at me only and waving his tail. His black eyes were fixed upon me only as if he was planning his strategic plan to attack me.

I remembered my college incident. I had gone to the grocery store to get some bread. As soon as I walked out, a dog bit my leg. The reason is unknown till now. I had to take this much thick injections...urghhh!! My butt still hurts....

I looked at the dog. The dog looked at me.

"Paagal doggy", I murmured completely forgetting that dogs have big ears and they can hear me bitching about them.

Just then, that dog barked looking at me.

"Bhoooowwww"

I got scared and took few steps back.

Mere toh 'L' lag gaye.....

My brain sang.

Shut up!

"Kartik...he's so cute!!", Naira said as that dog licked my wife's face.

Stop licking my wife's face....you dog!

"Its okay Kartik...tujhse toh na ho payega! Even that dog is faster than you", my brain taunted me and I so wanted to hit my head to the wall. But first....I would like to have a little talk with my daughter.

"Ahana", I said sternly and she looked up at me still caressing that dog's fur.

"Yes daddy", she said trying to sound innocent.

No games young lady!!

"What did you bring here?", I asked with my arms crossed across my chest.

"A dog", she replied and kissed that dog on his fur. He licked her face and she giggled.

"Even I can see that....but why did you bring him here?", I asked her waiting for an answer.

"Because he was roaming alone in the street helpless and hungry....a miserable picture of misery", Ahana replied and laid her head on his golden fur.

"Awe...so sad", Siya said and hugged him tightly.

"So you brought it home?", I asked her.

"Yup", Ahana replied nodding her head.

"Why baby? He's lost, he has a belt...his owners would be searching for him", I tried to explain her.

"I don't think so Kartik...he looks very weak. It seems he hasn't eaten since ages. Awe...my baby", Naira said in a sad tone and kissed on top of his head.

Eww....I'm gonna have to ask her to wash her mouth before she tries to kiss me....

"But guys...don't get too much attached to that dog. Its a walking grenade. I'm not gonna allow a dog to live in my house. I'm gonna file a missing complaint and the police is gonna take him with them", I clarified everything and all of them looked at me with open mouth, some gave me deadly glares, the first being my wife.

"How rude Kartik? How inhuman? Listen...I don't mind if you file a missing complaint but Oreo is gonna live with us till we find the whereabouts of his owner....agree to this or I want a divorce", Naira blackmailed me and my eyes got wide.

"What?", I said shocked.

"Yeah and we want....what do we call father and kids break up Siya?", Sahil asked Siya.
