"No, take that too, if you don't mind." Zion gestured over to the pile of boxes left in a lonely corner, where possibly a dresser used to be. The men grabbed them and carried them out the door which was conveniently propped to where it was passable without needing hands to hold it open.

He nodded at the workers and thanked them before examining the vacant bedroom one last time. He quietly chuckles to himself, placing his hands in his front pockets. He sighed, taking it all in. The moment he was about to turn around, two arms go around his abdomen, clasping together at the front.

His back began to vibrate as she spoke. "Are you ready to go yet?" She asked, laying her head on his back.

He nodded.

"Yes actually. I only stayed here because that's all I could really afford, but I never loved it here."

She smiled. "Makes sense. I liked it here, for it being my first place ever since being down here. So thank you."

He turns around as she loosens him out of her grip. With an eyebrow raised, he spoke. "For what?"

"Well, I don't know. Maybe because you let me stay here without any prior knowledge of me as a person. Not only that, but chose to love me. I think it's necessary for a little thank you." She began to laugh. He nodded once again, his tilting to the side to admire her. He pecked her lips a few times before he stepped back. He placed his hand on her stomach, and for some reason, the contact took her breath away. She tried to step away but he wasn't having it.

"Zion. We'll worry about it when we get to the house. For now, I'm fine." She placed her hands over his before walking away.

He watched her as she disappeared around the corner. He shook his head. He's never felt so in love with someone before— not at this caliber. The way she warms a room with her presence never fails to wow him every time. Z smiled to himself before pulling a small box from his back pocket, sighing heavily as he thought she could feel the tiny box pressing up on her.

"Zion! C'mon."

He was alert and followed the sound of her lovely voice out of the apartment to never come back again.

He walked out, locking the door behind him and began staring at it one last time. He placed his hand on the door and tapped it twice before turning away.

"Leaving without saying goodbye?"

He swiveled around and chuckled. "I was hoping I'd miss you on my way out."

Brandon nodded. "You're gonna miss me, Zion. Just say it,"

He rolled his eyes before responding. "Yea. I'm really going to miss you easedropping and giving me advice I didn't ask for. Oh! Not to mention giving head to my girl before she was my girl,"

"Exactly, you are." He smiled.

"Whatever."

There was a moment a silence.

"You still got my number?" He asked.

He pushed up his glasses. "Of course."

"Brandon?? Come here!" A girl yells from inside his apartment. He squints his eyes as Zion's jaw drops to the floor.

"Oh shit. You got a girl?" He asks.

"Yea. Maggie. Hopefully she's not crazy like.. you know."

Z nods as he knows exactly who he is referring to.

"BRANDON, COME IN HERE!!"

His eyes widen, before taking his head out of the door. "I gotta bounce,"
