You, Clem, and James were on the trail back to the school. Clementine was carrying AJ, which you can tell she was struggling.
Y/N: Are you positive you don't want me to carry?
Clementine: No... I got him.
You chuckle to yourself.
Y/N: So stubborn.
You three came across a small bridge.
James: Is he awake?
Clementine: Yeah. He's so hot.
Y/N: Awe, Thank you!
Clementine: I wasn't talking about you.
Y/N: Ouch. Well, you didn't deny it.
Clementine: Yep. I didn't.
You all walked in silence until you see the school.
Y/N: Wasn't expecting to be back here, if I'm honest.
You walked up to the gate.
Willy: Walker!
He shoots an arrow next your foot.
Y/N: You meant to shoot it there... right? 'Cause if not, then someone else should be on watch.
His eyes widened as he recognize you, Clem, and AJ.
Willy: Violet! Louis! They came back!
He climbs down the makeshift tower, probably going to get Louis or Violet.
Clementine: James, you live alone out there, right? You could stay with us.
James takes a good look of the arrow in the ground.
James: Can't. Not now.
He walks away.
Y/N: Goodbye... I guess...?
You both wait at the gate for someone to come. Clementine groans as she falls to the floor, AJ still in her arms.
Y/N: Alright, you're not carrying him anymore.
You take AJ from her arms. She doesn't get up.
Y/N: You okay?
Clementine: Yeah... just... resting...
Louis runs to the gate and scowls at you two. Once he sees AJ on your arms, his expression shifts to one of worry. He quickly opens the gate and runs to you.
Louis: Shit! Is he...?
Y/N: He's alive, but shot. He has a fever going.
Louis: I'll take him to Ruby, meet me in the admin building.
He takes AJ out of your arms and rushes back inside. You turn to Clementine.
Y/N: You still need a minute?
She looks up at you with her famous puppy dog eyes.
Y/N: Oh, God. What do you request?
Clementine: Can... can you... carry me?
Y/N: Oh, you know I can't say no to a face like that.
She smiles as you picked her up bridal style. She tightly wraps her arms around your neck, and you walk into the school and into the admin building. You walked up the stairs and you see Louis, Violet, and Ruby standing around AJ, who way laying on the couch.
Ruby: Is she hurt, too?
Y/N: Exhausted. We also got the shrapnel out of him.
She puts a hand over his forehead.
