In a grand hall all of spirit realm all the 1st rank nobles and royalty can be seen sitting. Awaiting the arrival of the spirit king.
Today was a special as the queen of sirens had presented the proofs about the sinister schemes of humans.

By no means was the spirit king as strong as mystical beings but the authority he held is beyond that. Even if he is not that strong his existence can't be denied.
Amaris found it weird that all mystical beings were scared of the spirit king even though he was weak.

Soon the arrival of spirit king was announced, everyone stood up in respect, once they sat down Amaris looked at the spirit king with curiosity.

Spirit king is actually a woman. She has long red hair that goes down to her thighs, green eyes. And the clothes she wore were simple yet majestic.

Despite her gentle appearance you cannot deny the aura of suppression that she was giving off while staring at everyone from the high seat.

Than her appearance landed on Amaris, she visibly gulped. For Amaris it felt like she could see through her soul.
She nodded towards the person and spirit king just gave a smile to her. It was not that of amusement or looking down on someone, it was a genuine smile and if one looked closely they can see the hearts inside the Spirits eyes.

" Today I spirit king Athena have invited you beings here for a very important matter. "

Athena spoke with cold aura seeping out of her,

" Before starting the process, let me ask you all the rules of the world given to us by our lord. "

Everyone was silent, no one spoke,

" Is there no one who would like to speak. "

Still no one spoke,

" Are you guys playing with me or none of you remember them. "

' Valak why do I feel like I am sitting in a history class. '

Athena looked at everyone before pointing towards a certain person and saying,

" You, tell us the rules and I shall reward you something you would love. "

The person just looked here and there before pointing towards oneself and saying,

" Do you see anyone else sitting with you? "

" No. "

" Than speak. "

Prince Azariah just stood up and looked around before saying,

" Sorry oh great spirit king but I am not really good with history and quotes so I don't remember."

Athena just stared at him like she was looking at some fool, than she turned towards all the nobles and said,

" Are all of you bad at history?"

The nobles just nodded. And the spirit king started laughing. Everyone was stunned by that. She laughed while clutching her stomach before saying,

" Of course you don't remember them. You would have been idiot if you said it. "

" What do you mean? " Azariah asked.

" No such rules exist."

Athena said with the straight face. The tense atmosphere was somehow relaxed.

" Now to the main topic, tell me about the balance of this world. "

Amaris rose her hand,

" The beings that exist in this world are the balance of this world. "

" Explain? "
Athena said.

" Like mermaids protect the ocean,
Sirens protect the deep seas, elves protect the forest, dragons protect the skies, sphinxes protect the desert, Dwarves protect the mountains."

" What about humans? Are they useless in your eyes?"

Adeena stood up and questioned the siren queen,

" Did I say that?"

Amaris calmly looked at Adeena which made her feel pressured.

" You did not speak about them."

" Did I completed my explanation at that time?"

Athena asked Adeena to be quiet and let Amaris speak what she was saying.

" So what about humans? "

Athena asked her.
