"What brings you here?"

The moment of shock didn't last for long. The younger made his way towards the elder, the glistering view of the river flow.

"I was sent here on ...an assignment."

"A patient?" Xiao Zhan asked.

"Mn. Something like that."

"I see." Xiao Zhan said and picked up his route. He was enjoying the cool breeze that brushed against his cheeks.

"Um... Mr. Xiao, what are you doing here?" The younger begun to follow him. Xiao Zhan didn't seem to mind. He let the wind fill his lungs, he took a deep breath and allowed the smell of the river to enter his mind.

"Funny, I thought I would hate this place, I guess I really like nature even though it killed my father." Xiao Zhan said it so casually that it made the younger worry.

"Fanxing right?"

"Mn."

"How about I get you something to eat?" Xiao Zhan offered. Even though the younger kept protesting, Xiao Zhan insisted saying he was older and it was only courtesy.

The two sat down on the bare sand while enjoying the canned juice, Xiao Zhan got from vending machine.

"Um.. Mr. Xiao-"

"You can call me Zhan ge." Xiao Zhan softly smiled and Zheng fanxing nodded.

"Z-zhang gege, how are you feeling lately? Are there any complications?" Zheng Fanxing was relieved to see that Xiao Zhan looked better than before. His complexion was not pale anymore and his face looked a little fuller. It was a good decision to send him to his family.

"I'm doing fine. What about you?"

Zheng fanxing was not expecting to be counter questioned.

"I-I'm doing fine as well. Thank you."

Xiao Zhan smiled and ruffled the younger's hair. For once, Xiao Zhan was happy. The moment of torture didn't come when he stepped into a place with horrible memories. It was a sign that his health was improving and he wanted to award himself for doing great.

"For how long are you here? Did you come alone or Dr. Liu is with you as well?"

Meng Ziyi didn't say anything about family trip, If he came for a patient then it was only natural, he came along with the doctor he was under.

"Until tomorrow and yes Dr. Liu came as well."

Well that was a news. How come the doc didn't inform him? Then again, it's not like they were friends and he was doing it out of his duty not friendship.

"I see."

"What about you Zhan gege? When will you go back?"

"Tomorrow as well. Maybe we can catch a flight together." Xiao Zhan hoped that the psychiatrist wouldn't mind if they get on the same plane. Besides, his sister said she wanted to meet the doctor and it would save her the trouble to travel to Beijing just to meet with him.

The wind begun to change it's route and the smell of rain filled the air. Luoyang was a humid city and the average rainfall was high there. At once, Xiao Zhan got up and dusted his clothes.

"Let's go before it rains. I'll drop you to your hotel."

Rain at the beach? it would hit too close to his wounds especially if it's the same place. Even if it's a blur that his condition was getting better, Xiao Zhan didn't want to test it out yet.
