Poem
march fourth twenty-nineteen
She said she's the doorway
for everyone to pass through
She said when you know your purpose,
you do what you're born to doJust ask yourself, what's really stopping you?
No apathy
only focus
on what has to be
Positivity,
not what broke usand on what matters most
Which of isn't the typical toast
Dig deeper, think
Push far, the brinkI don't know how she knew
And man did I try and argueBut she carried on steady,
all the while knowing
Which way my wind
was steadily blowingShe worked so hard
so that I would be ready
To take center stage
Mom life, getting marriedAnd I notice it now
In all of the small things
I say to my kids and how
Much joy that it bringsI'm so thankful that she is a part of my life
Still building me up, it's in her design
She knows what to say to build us strong
To help us lead, and to carry onAnd when I listen,
oh the things she teaches
Sometimes I know I'm trippin
But positivity, she preachesShe puts little things deep in my soul
That take my mind forever to unfold
Sometimes it's not so hard
But I love when it is and she's my lifeguardMan am I thankful for all that she gave
With out her I don't think I'd be so okay
And with out a doubt
She continues to amaze me each day.xo_kae
